We've agreed for now that he follow along as a dedicated lurker, and moves to turnplaying and helping a little later, maybe when the early religions start falling.
If anyone feels they've already laid out their masterplan step by step in their thread, or is concerned, please speak up.
Um... kind of? I've posted a fair bit on what I've got planned right in my first post.
Ugh. I don't know. If it makes the game easier to play I don't think it will matter too terribly. I guess I'm fine with it.

How about a time, say 2100 hrs GMT, so 1600 hrs EST, 1400 hrs PST on either Sat or Sunday?
Fine with me.

I've also discussed some game plans, strategy, analysis, etc. which is all heavily spoiler-ladden, but if Kyan is just going to play a few turns until pocketbeetle is back, I really don't see any of it making a difference. I also trust that Kyan will use common sense and discretion to not give away spoiler information as a dedicated lurker.

it sounds like kind of a long term arrangement to me.
I'd certainly be fine with him being a stand in turnplayer for a little while, especially during stasis. But this doesn't sound like that.

If he's just playing a few turns right now, then sure. If he stays away from the spoiler threads, and then later is needed, then sure. The way it is right now makes it seem like he is becoming a teammate, which I'm against right now at least.
I'm good with the blitz session this weekend too at 1600EST.

Hey chaps,
I offered to help turnplay when PB is stuck. Turnplay with instructions. I won't be doing anything off my own back nor will i be joining his team long term.
I stopped reading all other threads a few days ago and openly admit i've read them. I found them a great source of learning FfH mechanics so let me firstly thank you all for that. I wasn't reading into any strategy simply because it makes little to no sense to me as i don't even know how the various races work.
I was only offering to try and help out your PBEM as the first few turns can definitely go slow (trust me, i have experience there ).
Selrahc, i understand your position and am happy to not do the playing. As i am keen to stress though, i would be no figure of authority. Merely a turnplayer following orders whilst PB goes away. I've previously done this for Athlete in PB2, Whosit in PB2 and Ruff in PBEM2 to name a few examples. Just to keep the ball rolling. As any lurkers to their threads can attest to, i didn't let any potential lurker knowledge out.
PB seems to be back now anyhow? So, maybe i won't ever even be needed. I am available tonite if you need help but you'll need to let me know within 2 hours as i'll be going to bed.

If it's just until Saturday or something, with instructions, then I'm fine with you playing a few turns.
Pocketbeetle posted above that he was only on for a short while & unable to play, so if anyone is going to have a turn tonight you'll need to pass the save on to Cull.

Ah ok. Well, i'll need PB to PM me his details then so you'll have to keep fingers crossed he re-appears again before midnight.
