Only one person needs to email. Basically, it'll go like this:

1. Player 1 on Team X ends turn
2. Player 2 on Team X ends turn
3. Player 3 on Team X ends turn
4. Player 3 sends an email to rbpitboss6 at gmail dot com with a subject line of something like "we're done" or anything you want really
5. Tracker automatically forwards that email to every player on Team Y, which lets them know that it's their turn

Also, the php file will use IMAP to check the tracker email address periodically, and will update the webpage to reflect which team is up based on which team sent the last email.

So, instead of posting a "we are done post", we need to log into gmail and send an email to a server?

Meh, your choice. If you'd rather open up a web browser and navigate to this thread to see who is up... Email updates typically will get to *most* people much quicker. If I'm at a computer, my gmail is open, and I suspect I'm not the only one. On the other hand, I don't refresh RB every 2 minutes.

Looks like it, except that instead of having to remember to check the thread to see if it's your turn, you can let the server tell you when it's your turn. Sounds easier as long as the last person to play for each team remembers to inform the tracker that their team's turn is complete. But they'd have to remember to post that their team is finished if using a thread to track it anyway, so it seems like a benefit to push notifications out rather than having to always check for yourself.

FYI bad news, I crashed trying to log in even with no password. I got on with my desktop, but again don't have that in China. We'll see I may have to jerryrig a windows version on my mac. Which will suck. Really hope we can figure out a way for my mac version of BTS not to crash when logging into a pitboss.
