So for today's version, we're going to play EitB as if we were playing a game of Civ4! Not because I intentionally went that road when playing my turns, but because I just don't know any better
Here's the empire at the start of things:
It appears the cheese makers have been left wanting as of late.
Turn 1 - t105
I decide to start a settler in the capital. So someone else besides me can found a city (again). Where will it go? Not sure, maybe south to the fish and rice? Maybe they'll claim the horses to our west?
IBT-

Beware of Tigers
Turn 2 - t107
:dancing5:
Turn 3 - t107
Look who joined the party!
I didn't even realize we were running specialists. Let's see, he can bulb Drama. Doesn't drama give another free bard? Yeah, it does to the first person to research it. Are we the first to research it? Uh... I think so. What they hey, let's just do it.
We are! Yay for free tech. So what will this guy bulb?
Fishing? Ummm.... I'll pass.
Now I know you could bulb Sanitation with a bard in FFH2, but does that still work in EitB? With that in mind, I'm going to rename him.
Turn 4 - t108
IBT-
Trade comes in! And with that the doors are unbarred and the line of hat-in-hand AIs approaches:
First off, Cassiel demands Mysticism. Listen bub, learn how to make your people worship you like a god on your own dime, k?
Alexis wants Open Borders. Insert Alexis open-borders-as-sexual-innuendo joke here.
Varn Gosum wants to trade festivals for fishing. See, Cassiel? This is how you get something. Hey, and maybe fishing will open up a better bulb from the great bard!
Turn 5 - t109
Now he'll bulb hunting....
Hmmm.... I'm going to follow my intuition and research Bronze Working. Bronze Working will let us get rid of that nasty jungle and maybe opening up Sanitation will cause the Bard to be able to bulb it? Come to think of it, why do I want to bulb Sanitation? What does it even do?
Ooooh, I could go for that.
Say, stuff is taking forever to build, and since we're going to go food-heavy then why not switch civics up a bit:
IBT-
Alric Ulvin dmands Festivals. Talk to Cassiel about where that kind of attitude gets you, mister.
Speaking of Cassiel, he has learned his lesson and comes asking to trade Festivals for Cartography. Sure thing, buddy.
We meet someone:
And I vote for pedro:
Turn 6 - t110
Whipping time! It's like I'm playing beyond the sword all over again!
Trade Rhoanna her Hunting for our Festivals & Mysticism.
Now the bard will bulb Knowledge of the Ether. Okay, getting all these cheap techs is not helping our bard bulb something good.
IBT-
Alric is a slow learner. He demands our world map. No, bad Alric.
Council vote:
Turn 7 - t111
Slider to 100%; Bronze Working in 4 turns.
Building granaries in the cities that just whipped smokehouses.
Turn 8 - t112
Necronomicon is built far, far away.
Turn 9 - t113

:
Turn 10 - t114
More whipping!
Bronze Working comes in at end of turn, along with builds in most cities. So the next player better thank me for the unparalleled amount of flexibility I demand he have. Or hate me because I don't know what I'm doing and whipping in FFH2 / EitB is not the uber alls it is in civ4. One or the other.
And as I pass the save along, I notice the bard can now bulb Sanitation. Yay me!
