Because I fear we cant understand each-others reasons very well, and I dont know what (if at all) is said to Cornflakes and what options he was given, I will describe few possible scenarios I want to avoid at all costs.
Scenario 1: Nothing is said to Conflakes at all and I choose to pretend this deal never happened and accept I wont be able to declare war to Bigger. t231 comes, Cornflakes declares war to Bigger, hoping he have an ally. But I am nowhere to be seen. As result, Cornflakes thinks I am a scumbag and coward who goes back on his promise to fight the score leader. Either he is not very well prepared to fight Bigger alone and loses badly, or he decides I must be destroyed for my treachery and offers good peace to Bigger for attacking me together and I am out of the game.
Scenario 2: I choose to declare war now, but Cornflakes does not thinks so and does not know what is going on and why. We fight hard with Bigger, eventually I am heavy beaten until t 231 and then Cornflakes jumps on Bigger, crushes him and wins the game.
Scenario 3: Cornflakes is given choice to declare war now or forget about it in the next 20 turns at least and he chooses to declare war now, but I choose to forget about our deal. Similar result as in Scenario 1.
So, if I can somehow avoid those scenarios, I am OK with not reloading. If there is no way to avoid this, I would say lets have reload and simply go ahead. When tech trade is not happened actually, it will be way easier to pretend the agreement never happened, as it will be not happened in fact.
