Here's the state as of this turn. Gav turned on research and he's 2T out from Construction so we've got to follow him. 5T out from Constr ourselves.




IMO his only option is to retreat. His stacks banged up really badly. I guess he could try for Wendy's in the south too, just beeline for that city, but I don't think his stack can beat 4 Axes + 1 spear on a hill with 20% culture. Not in its current state. I've also got another six spears being produced (out of pretty much all my cities, and all of them are produced with rax.) I think he was hoping he could go for a quick death blow but spears are really cheap at this stage of the game, especially with my food and production being what it was.

Best case scenario; hopefully he just throws his stack away against Burger King but something tells me he won't do that :P

Well he retreated, thank goodness. On the good side - he's wrecked his own economy for very minimal gains (he's making like 9gpt at 0% right now) and his attack got blunted. On the bad side, he's 1T from Construction. On top of that, he's delayed my markets and forced me to crank spears out my asshole. Constr is due in 5T for me so he's not going to get a huge head start on building Cats at least. Still, got another settler coming out that'll settle the last spot on our eastern island so that's good, and markets are cheap for me so most will be completed in a few turns.

After Constr I think I'll have to hit up HBR to unlock War Elephants.

He's got 8 NCs (7 damaged) and 3 Chariots in Dunkin Donuts, and 5 NCs (1 damaged) covering 1 Axe the tile 1SE of Dukin Donuts.

Gav's basically whipping like a crazy person. His economy is shit right now (6gpt at 0%) and he really has no way of recovering or getting to Currency, or really being relevant in this game if he does beat me. I guess he's going out in a blaze of glory.

Can't log in but I fucked with the micro and went full commerce/scientists to ensure that Constr finished this turn, so we can build some Cats already. Ugh. Now we need to chase HBR so I can get some HAs and WEs out too.

Lol this game is so fucked. Gav moved a stack of 20 NCs into my territory last turn, and the unit supply costs meant he lost 10 Gold, at 0% science. He has another stack of about 13 units that he's gonna move into my territory too. He might literally go into strike at the end of this turn or the next. He has 16 gold left.

IDK what to really do. Its obvious he wants to use the capture gold to support his units and not go into revolt. I kinda just want to do everything I can to hold onto these cities for as long as possible and hope that he goes into strike and his units start getting deleted lol.
