I have to admit, with how long this last turn has been in coming to me I have checked the site a couple times just to make sure it wasn't me holding it up by mistake again.

Genuinely sorry to see Archduke lose interest because of this. Games with bad turnplay happen, they aren't necessarily a judgment on people's outlook to a game. It just means that people have other more pressing things on their mind. And in the middle of a pandemic that seems very realistic to me. For myself, I've been forgetting to play pb46 lately - and that's a game I feel very connected to. But between the anxiety of the economy and the pandemic as well as my own depression issues flaring up due to all this isolation it's been hard for me to keep any kind of routine, even one that is fun. I get that he's very invested in this game, but I just wish he'd understand that people's turnaround time doesn't always indicate their desire to play. And I'm sorry that it's affecting his fun, because I'm sure this would be a welcome distraction if it was going as smoothly as he hoped.

Anyway, I'll try to post some pictures next turn. Everything's still slowly falling apart, just like it has been for the last 50 turns.

I changed policies to Limes and am putting walls down in the capital.  Really tempted to put Victor in the capital here but I used the promo on culture generation and will keep the governors as they are.  I'm also stuck with Conscription as a policy because otherwise I'd be in negative gold.  So I really would like to fix that gold a bit with the settler you see, that I squeezed out of the capital.  I'm thinking I settle on top of the copper for the gold.

Three turns over 2 weeks - I was hoping this game may have died at one point but I guess I'm not released from my punishment quite yet.




I thought suboptimal was coming for me last turn update but instead we danced back and forth and I ended up getting the worse of that deal.  (How I wish I had picked the holy site heals units pantheon right now.)  But I think now he is coming in earnest.  So since I'll never get to 250g for a crossbow upgrade, I upgraded 2 warriors to swords and this builder that you see finishing up at the capital will not be improving tiles like I had hoped but rather is going to help chop out crossbows.  At least the encampment will finish soon, but I am getting depleted enough that I fear it will just be overrun.

This time it really looks like the end




The encampment will nto finish before it is overrun so we stopped it and went to a crossbow. I'm hoping to chop out 1 or 2 of them but it won't likely be enough. I've traded horses with suboptimal this turn but all my units are red and his are strong.

I did not settle a new city even though I planned to. No reason to give suboptimal any more free stuff. I'll settle farther east. If Alhambram gets a free city off of it, he deserves it for being my only friend this game.
