Well, yeah, that makes it pretty useless, then, and yes, Bob should try stealing one, assuming it actually comes up as the target. You've probably seen the interesting simulations involving archers the Clan players have done, though that's a question of defender, not straight-up power.

How would Hyborem fare if he was dropped next to the orcs? From what I remember of his starting army, not all that great against 3 sons, maybe give the orcs a bit of a speed bump by surprise taking a few cities before the sons wipe him out.

Hyborem would be doomed against 4 sons.
I kind of wish that there had only been one or two sons. Four of them is just game smashingly powerful...

If it's true as some people have said in their threads that blind stops casting I think the clan are definitely screwed, even with 4 sons.

Blind is mainly an issue for the Sons if A) SL or someone else can get to Empy or Mages in time B) that player has the number of units to cover for differnet fronts and/or the Sons are stacked together. Square Leg is still damaged by the war with Serdoa, and the Sheaim themselves don't have any amazing economy. Bob has a good economy, but is facing war with the Clan very soon. Blind gives a chance of survival that is better than a conventional army, but it is hardly a cure-all, I don't think. Whatever happens, it'll probably be interesting to follow.

Well remember, the Sons bereft of all spell casting are S8 units with C5. That's a pretty impressive force even without the fire elementals.

^True. Judging from the threads, none of the other players have any real plan for dealing with the Sons. Well Iskenders assassination plan may work, I don't really understand the mechanics behind Channeling. Thing is, by the time he'd be at war with the Clan, the other players would likely be eliminated, so the clan would be able to focus a conventional army on him as well. Their only real hope for this game would be to do a successful NAP-breaking dogpile, but that's not really the kind of precedent you want to set.

Not sure Iskender is right to go for assassins vs the sons. They have Channeling 3, but their high base strength means that warriors will take assassin hits before them - and the clan should be able to produce a lot of warrens-warriors. I still think you guys are wrong and the world will survive this though :neenernee

Bob plan seems interesting enough. But I don't think he has priesthood and necromancy already, so how does he plan to summon skeletons and building ritualists? He'll take 8 turns to tech Corruption of Spirit, so when he's finished, Tredje will be at his door, ready to attack his westernmost city. He can fill the city with adepts + puppets, but the adepts will be targeted first by the attackers, so it's not a good plan.
If he loses Combee View, there goes one of the adept pumping cities, which will leave only Hexam, if I'm not mistaken. I don't think it will be able to produce the troops he need to withstand the Sons. And if he loses Combee View, Tredje will be in a very good position to threaten more than one city from Bob.
Well, it's going to be interesting, that's for sure...

Yes, Bob really needed to beeline Necromancy IMO. Any other plan with Keelyn seems suboptimal, since one Balseraph adept can maintain 3 skeletons (and resummon 2 of them every turn). Even the Sons would have a hard time breaking through a screen of 20+ skellies.
