Alright, with all the healthy discussion going on in the OctopOverlord thread, I was wondering, would anyone object to simply allowing all OO spells and abilities in this game, if only to establish whether or not OO is still overpowered on +30% water maps? (assuming this is a real Pangea map, unlike PBEM XVa/b)

Ichabod, when you banned OO in this game, did you take the reduced Tsunami range etc into consideration?

I banned OO because it was perhaps the only setting that every player seemed to agree with (the one setting that was written in the tech thread). It was not because I think OO is overpowered either in general or in the specific setting of this map. It was not my idea to ban it.

As every player should know, the map has a decent amount of water. Besides that, I don't know what to say. It depends on what the players think about OO.

It either matters, in which case we should stick with the limited ban, or it doesn't matter, in which case there is no point in lifting the ban. I guess I don't care although I generally don't like the thought of changing settings after a game has started.

In case my post was unclear I don't have an issue with unbanning OO. I was under the impression for some reason it was allowed, but only water walking was forbidden.
