Reached size 3 and switched to build Worker #2. We'll follow this up with Worker #3 and a Settler. Haven't put these in the build queue yet though, because this saves us a turn's hammer decay on the Warrior when we complete it after the Settler.
Think we'll explore up north with the Warrior to see if we can find a decent Horse city location.
Moved the Scout onto the desert rather than the plains-hill-forest because it avoids a Lion. Sure it's only 10% odds that he'd die, but after losing my Scout at similar odds very early in my last game and discovering how painful that was, I'm avoiding all animals if I can.

No new resources to the north yet. A lot of Lions around though. Could maybe found a city where the Warrior is standing and share the Pig with the capital... or else on the plains hill 1N.
Gold down south. Probably out of our reach though... 13 tiles from the capital, couldn't get much further away before you start coming back (18 tiles to the halfway point).

Discovered a Cow up north, which makes for a much better Horse city. Might even want to consider settling there first since it's nice and close. I think the plains-hill site appeals more than the spot 1S since it gets the Cow in the first ring, plus the bonus hammer.
Found a Clam and a third preplaced improvement (Workshop) to the south. Think we'll head north next. Shame it looks like there's no food we could settle for easy access to the Gold, but someone else is likely closer to it than us anyway. (This is based on the assumption that there's someone around 18 tiles north/south and a few tiles east or west of us, as would be the case if the 100x36 map dimensions are divided roughly 6x2 for civ placement.)

Sugar up north.
Lion was heading our way down south, so took the coastal route north.

Finished Worker #2, now building Worker #3. Worker #2 is building a farm while we wait for Bronze Working to come in; Worker #1 will finish the grassland-hill mine next turn.
Yet another Lion spotted up north. (That's 4 separate lions now, for anyone keeping count - and no other animal types yet.) Sent the Warrior east as a result - no point risking him when he's so critical to our early plans. Plus we want to keep him close to the capital anyway. Next moves will probably be SE-SE.
Found a Sheep to the south. Think we'll continue generally north with the Scout for now, looks like it might connect up with the land east of our capital.

Finished the mine at the capital.
Decided that I like the plains-hill best for the Horse city site. Sure it won't be able to share the Pig with the capital, but with our Charismatic trait the capital will need that Pig anyway. Conveniently the Horse city site will be connected with the capital via a river, which makes it an attractive option for our second city given that The Wheel won't come in time to pre-road before producing our Settler.
Encountered Lion #5 down south. There was no way to get around him without backtracking towards Lion #4 behind us, so we had to bite the bullet and move our Scout within edible range. We should have 89.4% odds of survival on the grassland-hill-forest, so hopefully we'll find him alive next turn. Really want to explore north a bit more before he bites the dust.
Discovered a grassland windmill, the first semi-useful preplaced improvement we've seen in this game.

Our Scout survived his battle with 0.8/1 health, so as there are no other animals in sight just now we'll stop for two turns on the hill-forest for him to heal.
Sent the Warrior 1SE, nothing new revealed.
Workers #1 and #2 will finish a farm and prebuild another next turn. The turn after that Worker #3 will be completed and it'll be time to move all three Workers to different forests ready to start chopping - and in the case of the plains-forest-hill, mining. Our Settler will be due on T31 with the help of a couple of forest chops.

Moving the Warrior towards the workshop. If there's no animal next to it next turn, we'll move onto it and hopefully pillage it the following turn.
