Two settlers heading to new city spots, but already running -20gpt @ 50%. Breakeven is ~36%, even with this gorgeous future city.

Chop into terrace is better to get rice and crab in border asap.

Core is ok.

It sure does! Holy cow at 100% on CoL!

Whipping the Courthouses are good considering even the close cities are close or over 5gpt. It would be nice to wait for OR for this, but whipping for gpt is fun?

Of course the good screenshot didn't take, but stone is on the small island east of copper. Was revealed by settling the newest city next to the pigs. Stone becomes the next city priority since further settling is becoming costly.

Stone might be too late for the mids, but HG looks real tempting now. And Moai will get built in a decent amount of time now.

Busy in RL wetbanditland, motorting along here towards an early GA to get some workable civics down (HR/OR). Plus CoL in place now for Caste during the GA. To that end, this continent has now founded all three existing religions. Monotheism has yet to fall, but someone just built the Colossus. I don't know what's going on with this game.

Borsche and Yuri also have OB, Borsche having researched Alphabet. I think with the islands available early on, I'm not sure about alphabet versus currency, but what do I know.

I have two calendar resources in borders and am seriously tempted to get it, even inspite of the GA because I have some happy issues now. That dye on the island is also nice to see. There is one visible hill on the island in contrast with the 312059820359 hills on the mainland.

Another goody island!

Other island looks better!

Borsche and Yuri have pretty sparsely guarded border cities. Still planning on swords+cats.

Remaining peaceful here, glad borsche feels comfortable to leave that worker unescorted.

In light of his growing competition with some vital demos.

Notable news of the turn is we have a trade connection with Dreylin, but no contact yet. Stone is settled next turn which will prompt actually starting the long whip-overflow Moai build and a future run at HG. Great Lighthouse has not been built and am also considering running for that given I already have 7 coastals, with 1 more next turn and quite a few more in the future.

QOTD!

Moai!

Why not? Fail gold to fund the GA is a side benefit.

Quite a lot of islands.

Lookin very good... what are the latest city counts for yourself and your rivals?

Thanks. Off the cuff, I believe that I am two cities up on Yuri and 3-5 on Borsche. Of course, I have 3 island cities. Neither Borsche nor Yuri have ivory/stone/other special island resource hooked up, so I believe that all of their cities are on the big continent or they have just now begun to settle the islands and haven't hooked up the resource yet. Possibly noteworthy in terms of ability to generate hammers/units on the important landmass, but pop advantage should counter that.

There seem to be some fairly serious wars on other continents (whosit v. dreylin, jowy v. mardoc/adrien). As long as there is not a clear winner or bystander capable of punishing weakened civs (Fenn, seemingly), that's to our benefit.
