I'm going to declare war on wetbandit at some point and when that fails I will throw a huge tantrum and claimed that everyone ganged up on me and that the map was bad and the game wasn't fair and that everyone cheated etc etc.

For real though I'm massing knights right now. I think I'll start beelining for Steel (maybe try to pick up Lib, since Edu comes in next turn). Maybe something like Lib -> Eco, and spawn another GS naturally for my second GA? I'll have to think about my tech path some more.

Can't beat wetbandit to lib. He's also going to get Taj for another MoM boosted GA. Best I can do here is go for Eco and snag the merchant to pair it with a scientist that's coming out soon and GA myself, going straight up to Steel and just try to flood wb with kanones. Thankfully wb can't snipe Eco from me since he doesn't have banking. UNFORTUNATELY he has fuckin Music and Nationalism so he's gonna take Military Tradition and open up Cuirassiers. Maybe I should beeline Rifling instead.

I'm looking at the tech situation though and it looks really dire.

This is just bad. On all levels. Dreylin is in 3rd place and I'm up like 5 techs on the dude. WB may be a mile in front of me, but I'm a mile in front of the next closest guy. If this wasn't a casual game I'd be just about ready to call it. Overwhelming victory in favor of WB. Jowy and Mardoc got locked in a blood feud that retarded that continent's development, and the same thing happened with, uhh, whosit and dreylin or someone, maybe grimace on the other continent.

Even if someone on the other continent just immediately conquered their neighbors, I'd shock me if they were able to catch up at all.

Second great person came out as a Great Engineer... nothing to rush build, but I could bulb Steel with it. Bulbing steel is only worth like 1300 beakers though, while going into a GA gets me a bonus like 400 bpt (went from 700pbt to 1100 after GA + swapping into Free Market)

Steel in 6T atm, Wetbandit is 3T away from Rifling. He already has MilTrad. My only hope is to swarm him with 80 hammer cannons (as a nice aside, the cheapness of Kanones mean that they only cost like 50g a pop to upgrade I think)

That's about it lol. Also he buitl Great Library like last turn. I know this is a casual game but, did no one else seriously go for that? WB has cleaned up like every single wonder of note.

I think you have the exact cost wrong, but damn, I never considered that aspect of the kanone before... the upgrade is insanely cheap!!

Yeah we talked about it and it turns out I should've been building Trebs. Steel is in 4T right now so I've swapped all my cat builds over to Trebs - Even without upgrade they'll all roughly be spitting out a kanone + treb on the turn Steel finishes.

Trebs cost the same amount as Kanones so upgrading them only costs 20g... if you built up like 20 trebs you'll have 20 kanones on the turn that steel finishes for like 400g... absolutely insane.

Unfortunately I realized this way too late and cat -> kanone is 110g. Not the worst thing in the world (its like 170 to upgrade a cat to a cannon), but the same amount of cats upgrade to kanone's for like 2200 gold lol

I think wb is trying to hold me to some kind of turn split (we aren't at war) to prevent me from attacking in the second half of the turn timer? I'm not sure. Definitely feels like it. Jokes on him though because I'm only taking my turns late because I keep forgetting about this game.

hit the lurker thread thinking it was the diplo thread because this evan williams tastes like someone watered it down. I talked to several other people that have admitted they have noticed that evan williams waters down some of their handles but very rarely, like one in every 50~ handles. anyway I didn't see nothing other than i think krill said something about full diplo being bullshit or something.

the diplo in this game is kinda bullshit though because you've got separate continents!! who here thinks that continents is an interesting map type. this map is retarded! dreylin gifted me marble and asked how he can help me beat WB adn its like "unless you somehow magically invade his islands or whatever or gift me 2000 gold to upgrade to cavs or whatever... basically nothing" and even then, wb is Protective so all his rifles are City Garrison 3 automatically which is just the least fun thing to play against.

i really wish someone picked celts and just completely broke this game by destroying both their damn neighbors by T85 lol
