I don't think we have to say anything...? We haven't revealed to them we're settling Marcalabrio (spelling?). Did they respond to the earlier 'we propose Open Borders with scouting' message? I can't find it. Turn will be played in a minute.
More people have been to Berlin than I have.

In a moment of pure weed, I misread T109 for T99 smoke So I sent E to camp the Deer instead of mine the Copper.

Also, I think we should send A and B north to Marcblio since we have first ring Cows.

Ok, yeah I guess we don't really need to respond. We haven't told them anything. We never received a response to the previous email, but after waiting 2 full turns (4 days) I decided to just move in and continue exploring their territory.

That's not a big deal with E. If we're moving A & B north anyway we'll want deer camped before we want the copper mined. Camp should be finished by E working alone on the same turn the A & B working together would be able to do it because they spend a turn cottaging on the way.

This turn you sent A & B to mine E of Maracaibo, right? And what about D? ... doesn't really matter actually. I'll log in when I get home in the evening to update the micro again, swapping E and sending A & B north too.

Just logged in to update the worker micro for the now-relocated Maracaibo. Figured I'd start a post at the same time so I can type up things as I notice them.

1) Research: We've finished Monarchy now jive and our next tech was currency? We need to slip sailing in some time also because we still only have foreign trade connection with M3, so even though we have OB with TEAM we don't get trade routes with them. Sailing is cheap (1.5 turns at out current rate) so I think we should slot it before Math/currency. Since we have two libraries coming in shortly I think we should store gold for six or eight turns while waiting for them to complete. Then we can get the most efficiency from our research.
2) We need another worker or two because we now have no more improved tiles at either Havana or Santiago frown The workers near PR/Bardabod have their hands full already building cottages as quickly as those cities can grow.
3) Since it will be 6 turns before San Juan's missionary will arrive to get the hammer-bonus on our library whip it will not hurt any to delay the library whip at Santiago. Lets put this turn into a worker and double-whip next turn. We're growing fast enough that we'll have to pop back in time to simultaneously whip the library here whenever San Juan is ready (again, don't worry about stacking the whip after only 5 turns ... we already have happy-cap of 8, and we don't have any more cottages to grow onto yet).
4) Barbados is growing this turn. We can speed up missionary completion by working the mine for 2 turns with the new citizen ... That is, no mine this turn, but add the mine for the next two turns. This will allow us to whip library in San Juan in 6 turns, rather than 8.

Here's an updated plan for Santiago reflecting the worker -> then finish library. Library should just be 1-pop whip Library will still be 2-pop whip whenever San Juan gets the Hindu spread from Barbados's missionary. But Santiago will have already regrown one pop by this time, and Havana will grow again and can take over one of the cottages when we whip off.

And updated micro for the workers.

Oops, forgot that I took this shot. We should move two of our axe's onto the forested hill, and also move the axe from the corn to this hill. No point in taking any extra risks here smile ... I did not give the order, just hovered to take the screenshot.

i had a really stupid idea. if team really does wait until later to settle their city, we can settle marcabrilo on the old
spot and make the hills TEAM s planning on settling unelligable. solves all our problems while ticking off TEAM.

i.mean, settle on the tile the axe is hovering over in thr above scrernshot. the southern one ofvthe two spots.

I had that exact same thought, but since I've been proposing all the aggression so far I figured I'd give you a chance lol ... We can chop out the Terrace by the 5th turn after founding (like planned) and a second chop would get us walls with the overflow.

If we do that we'll want to road the tile NE of A&B, rather than N, so that we can move the axe there from the corn next turn. We would also move all our military into Maracaibo from the gold. I LOVE those peaks and hills around San Juan! They completely prevent her from getting 1-moved.

You decide I'll go with whatever. (But hold off on playing the turn if you do go for the hill because l'd like to check the micro first.)

That hill site would give us a very nice border with TEAM, but overall I think that it would hurt us more to try and claim it. TEAM definitely would not like the plant, and we would have alter our worker -> library builds at Santiago to whip out another axe/spear pair. I think we'd be best continuing our with our new Maracaibo site and let TEAM settler their hill.

Turn played, Maracaibo will be settled where marked. Whipping a Worker in Santiago sounds good. For the first time in forever, we weren't last in GNP, only second to last! I turned on research to Mathematics, since extra chop hammers at Maracaibo sounds good.

The Great Library was built in a faraway land.

We should probably transfer C or F down to Santiago. Port Royal's new Worker can take care of its cottages. I'm a bit confused why we didn't send A and B directly to the Sheep/Cows tiles instead of spending a turn on roading. Yes, we lose a Worker turn going to the Cows but we gain a turn on the Sheep completion. Ehh, too late now.

jive neenerneener Just think if we hadn't been set back on the curve by 20 turns! If we can stay friends with everyone long enough for then to get jealous of each other and start tearing each other apart we might be able to climb up out of last place. We've just got to keep our GNP (research) up so we don't fall behind militarily.
