The switch from war mode to economic boom has been most impressive! Think a plus size lighthouse is a good capstone on that. smile

Out of curiousity, what would the potential income be from the shrine?

Thanks!

RE: The buddhist shrine, right now not much. I believe there's only Endor (the holy city) and I saw one of India's had buddhism through a natural spread (I believe it was Shiloh). It's possible India's city gets razed in the war so again not much. But with meditation about 15 turns away at most we should be able to start getting the religion spread at a decent clip after that and our GP would be in soon after that so in time it will certainly pay off.

Athlete,

A quick comment on the plan. I think I spotted a small mistake that burned us in the past smile When a city grows you get half the food for the previous size not the current size. For example, when you grow from 1 to 2 with a granary you get 11/24F not 12/24F. That may have some consequence if the city will not grow in 2T.

Thanks for putting the plan together, it looks very promising. If we land tGL I think we'll be in an amazing shape to REX, as almost every coastal city will produce a surplus gold!

Re: shrine -- we don't have many buddhist cities, but we are also pretty far from the prophet. I think we'll get the prophet close to T140.

I got some idea I'd like to put on the table. What if with currency and tGL we try to go for a merchant in Clak, running 2 merchants from a market, and lightbulb MC?

EDIT: A good link with great people tech preferences for reference: http://forums.civfanatics.com/archive/in...40952.html

EDIT 2: An alternative idea would be to run 2 scientists as planned in Clak, and if we get a merchant we lightbulb MC, otherwise make an academy.

Hey Kalin,

The mistake your pointing to is on T111 n'est-ce pas? Where at T111 I state the food bar will be at 12/24? We will be at 18/22 on T110 with +5 surplus so that would make 12/24 on T111. If that's not it can you please point it out clearly to me so I can make sure we don't get burned again!

Your welcome. I'm pretty excited about being the first to currency and landing this wonder. I'm really hoping it all works out. It will put us in a very strong position.

I like this idea. I had been toying with something similar in the back of my head but it's so far away I had kind of shoved it aside. Anyway's we'll reevaluate our tech plans after currency comes in see where things are. As I had mentioned to you previously I'd love a shot at the Colossus and waiting to bulb it later might be too long. Something to consider anyways. I will have a look at the bulbing list as well.

With all due respect, I believe the French phrase you are looking for is "n'est-ce pas?"

Ou etait Jabah pour nous dire? Lui ou de Krill? smile I wanted to correct that too, but then forgot smile

Re: plan, yes the problem was on that turn, but I'll double check tomorrow and tell you, going to sleep now. I think we're ok though as we'll have something like +8F.

EDIT: Forgot the most important: Welcome benjoyce! You must care a lot about French grammar to make your first post about it lol

Kalin,

Thanks for welcoming me. Well, as for being a Grammar Girondiste, it is, I guess, somewhat of an Aspergian trait. I have been following most of the Realms Beyond goings-on since CIV Adventure Nine or Ten, but I have learned that it is my safest bet to remain a lurker at the threshold on forums. It's just that I did not feel like I could contribute and I certainly did not want to pull a Dr. Nomadic. The amount of discussion and planning and the many kinds of _knowledge_ (both in-game and meta-game) required to be good at this kind of game (CIV in general and PBoss diplomacy in particular) fascinates me endlessly from a ludological perspective, too.

But, just to stay OT, good luck for your team and I hope that you can pull of your wildest dreams with flair.

haha - only once this game is over and you get to read Spulla's thread will you really appreciate what "pulling a Dr.Nomadic" is, although you may be able to guess from what was posted in the main forum. lol

Athlete,

Things went very bad south of Chance. I'd like to know why we didn't cut that road on the silks 1 SE of Chance.

Unless you start posting random cat pictures, you won't be beating him.

Anyways, screenshots of sad bad things?
