I agree moving E next. Good job keeping track of the demographics. The most important probably is the power smile

Well I remoted in and played as I couldn't wait devil

Moved east, and as my connection is terribly slow I could barely see anything before it refreshed but I did see a rice and I think another sheep, I can't remember. I'll post another screenie tonight.

Korea, Byzantium and the HRE all discovered a tech this turn. Seeing as nobodies power went up they would all have discovered agriculture. That would leave 2 religions up for grabs unless India is researching one.

In an earlier post I noted a 3rd civ at 19GNP. I think I figured that out. Greece is researching BW and having a prerequisite for it and as such has given them a higher GNP.

Which would mean India is either researching a religion or bronzeworking as at that GNP they would have discovered any of the first level techs. My guess is a religion but we'll see soon enough. That also means they're not working an Oasis as I originally thought.

Well I guess I stirred up a little bit of controversy. Consider this my rant as I didn't expect that to happen. Oh well. After rereading it I still don't think it's as "harsh" as what Sulla had to say, and even that (Sulla's note) it wasn't bad, just blunt. Anyways nothing that a little damage control shouldn't be able to fix just frustrating as it was unfortunately misinterpreted. I was even trying to get it paused for them in case they were going to miss it despite what I thought should happen.

rant over shhh

So there's our new discoveries: Rice and cows. I think your signs Kalin are correct for movement suggestions. I was pretty sure that's how it was going to go.

Kalin,

I moved SW onto the Grass/hill. Nothing of interest revealed. You can see the start of jungle here. I didn't end turn yet and here's why.

If we switch to furs/rice this turn we get mining in and can start on BW a turn sooner. We could then switch back to furs and plains/forest for a turn then back to rice/furs after. I think that is the same as what you had devised, just in a different order. So that's what I'd like to do. I'll get a chance to actually do the math tonight so I can confirm it but please don't end turn until we've come to a definitive conclusion/agreement.

Thanks,

Athlete

***edit Oh did you happen to see the demogs from the turn previous? I didn't look when I had logged in. If you did see them, did you happen to notice our rivals average for power and what it was? Let me know please. /edit***

Kalin,

K just as I thought it won't make a difference apart from getting mining a turn sooner which I would like to do. Unless I hear from you to go against this I'm going to login in a couple of hours and change to fur/rice this turn and switch back next turn.

Hi Athlete,

I would actually advise against getting mining 1T sooner. That is because the pre-req bonus would apply to the overflow. It's not much (like 1 beaker) but it's something (10% of our current research smile).

I didn't get a picture of the demogs previous turn... my apologies.

Kalin

P.S.: Also by delaying mining 1T our score stays lower which I think it's not bad. I'd rather not be first atm if possible smile

There's a picture of where we stand after hitting end turn on T11. I yielded to Kalin about getting mining this turn as it might not be so wise to say hey we're in first so early. Still it would have been fun to say :neenernee we're #1 as well!

As well somebody has built a warrior on either T10 or T11. Both of us didn't check T10 so no way to know for sure. However it's possible I may be wrong about the initial techs discovered for either Mali or the Inca's. They may have gotten fishing instead of hunting as at max hammers at size one a warrior (or Quecha) could have been pushed out before I started looking at demogs. Too late to figure out for sure now but just food for thought. It's hard trying to track everybody. I should be able to atleast have reasonable success on score increases (for instance Mali grew to size 2 this turn) but I need to hone these new C&D skills on a smaller level first.

As well T10 LiPing (Rome) discovered their first tech. The most they could have put in was 88 beakers (naturally) and they would have discovered Hunting sooner as well as increased power so they must have discovered agriculture. However that's 89 so they must have met a civ that knows it already. Atleast that's the only explanation I can think of. So they must have met either Zulu or the Inca's. I guess given the timing they might have met any of the 3 that had discovered it as well (Korea, Byzantium & HRE). Atleast I'm sure they've made contact with somebody.

Well here's the lay of the land around Ellorrs. Also have a peak at the demogs for T12. We first in GNP jive !!! Anytime I see us #1 in anything remotely important expect a similar reaction. I'm not use to it in this community lol

Also Mali has discovered a tech and gone up 2K in power, I think they actually got Hunting this turn. Which would mean they got fishing before. Now I remember from early demogs that somebody was producing 3 hammers which would have allowed a warrior on T5. Seeing as I didn't look at power ratings until T6 that could explain Mali's 2K hike around that time. Or they just coincided their warrior build with Fishing now. Either way they got both fishing and hunting and have built a warrior.
