Being SPI will mean super-cheap temples that pay back for themselves pretty fast with AP and even faster if we can land UoS or Spiral Minaret.

Building an army is actually a really awful investment in terms of improving your economy. Unless you can make a lot of gains with a low amount of hammers, it's usually better to build buildings and tech away. (Of course, if you build too little army then you can lose it all - and there's the rub.)

I agree with this. I don't think that the AP is worth rushing for- we can just expand naturally, and pick up theo when we've got enough economy to research it easily and enough cities with a religion to make it worthwhile. 2H per city isn't really something we can run an economy on, it's just a little bonus.

You can if you'd like. I was going to wait until Turn 10 and roll the first 11 turns together into one report, but if you're feeling motivated, by all means, go ahead smile

Less like motivated, More like obligated smile
I like the idea of a turn 10 recap for the early stuff. No need to have fifteen reports of "moved warrior, moved scout" in the early stages

I'm turning our scout northwest next turn to check out the center of the wheel - we'll see if Commodore put anything worthwhile in there. Our Quechua is now fortifying the capital. I'm a bit surprised we haven't seen anything of our neighbor to the southwest yet.

Finishing turn revealed horses, we've uncovered what looks like our and TEAM's sources. Worker completes next turn so we can improve the cattle.

End Turn.
