Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

I made some tentative dot maps earlier, I'll post them directly in this thread once I'm at my laptop.

Worker is going for copper, by the way.

Apologies for the long hiatus, I've been working multiple contracts and have just been keeping up with my turns. Krill advised me to inquire about the etiquette of turn splits, I opted to go on the second half and he on the first. Are there any special considerations I should be aware of?

Also, the first two chariots are out, along with 2 axemen, 1 spearman, and 2 warriors for defense. How should I go about evaluating the defenses on Krill's city and seeing how much force I need to take it?

You nees some unspoiled lurker to give advices. I can only say common thing that versus humans you'd better put your bet on one type of units: mostly axes or mostly chariots. Mixed stacks dont work, at least not before catapults.

Do you have Krill's graphs ? What's his power like ?

Not terrible, but definitely weaker. I have 2 axes, 2 chariots currently. In two turns I should have 2 more chariots. I was thinking attack with 5-8 chariots and the 2 axes, ideally in the next 5-6 turns.

Ok. I hope that you realize that if Krill has 2 spears and an axe at the moment you declare war you won't be able to do anything, and even 1 spear and 1 axe could stop you from taking a city.

Hmm, even against 7 chariots and 2 axes? I didn't realize the defenders advantage was that strong. All my units are barracks produced, I figured the promotion and a good 2:1 ratio would take down an unfortified city. Then again, I haven't played non-FFH Civ4 since.... 2008? Maybe?

Well I don't know exactly how the terrain is but if he sees you coming 2t in advance he can probably emergency whip another spear.

Weeeeelp..... I guess you either die in a blaze of glory or.... just die normally. I figure in 2 turns I'll declare war and try to hit Krill's capital in 4 turns. Most likely, he'll see it coming. If the RNG gods favor me, I might overwhelm his defenses and capture the most glorious city in the world (Animal Farm). Otherwise, I'll leave myself economically weakened (too much whipping of the peasants) and militarily exposed (suiciding your army against an entrenched enemy tends to do that).
