In a similar light, I've never before played Civ MP and have interest in, at a minimum, following along here - although I don't have anything nearly as impressive w/r/t my SP results to recommend me (my usual favorite SP difficulty is around Prince, but I sometimes go totally wild and try Monarch. :D ). Nonetheless...

As pirates are INFINITELY superior to ninjas no matter how much propaganda those dishonorable cowards in masks keep throwing out there, Team Pirate strongly appeals. So a request has been sent and I am hoping.

I progressed pretty quickly from Prince through to Emperor through reading things like Sisiutil's series on CivFanatics and Sullla's reports of Team Democracy games played here - I bet we'll both be up a difficulty level by the time this game's through! I'd be really interested in comparing notes once the game is over since we're both coming in at about the same time and as new to multiplayer. Welcome!
