The most recent screenshot feels a bit too zoomed out for me. I can tell what is happening but only by squinting.

More score increases, more people's cities growing to size 2. Including my capital at EOT.
The Giant killer has 4xp and takes combat 1. It'll take 4 turns to fully heal.
Other scouting warrior heads south a bit and spots 2 frostling archers in a nearby barb city.
EOT had all the nearby barb cities grow to size 2, I expect to see some people capture cities next turn assuming they're in similar positions, I'll be looking to do so in 3-4 turns, depends on what the roaming warrior does.
1st warrior build finishes next turn

Turn 6 begins and I'm met by the Runes of Kilmorph event, helpful to be sure.
The usual shuffling of warriors takes place, I plan to attack the closest barb city on turn 8, this is subject to change if the wandering warrior makes things difficult.
Selrahc's score increased significantly this turn and I suspect he did capture a barb city, I assume that's why he held onto the turn for so long yesterday trying to decide whether it was worth it or not

Hmm scrap that idea that Selrahc took a city, I'm still equal 1st in population so I guess he got a free tech or something.
Everyone has a size 2 + size 1 city.

2 opponents have size 3 capitals now, not entirely sure how but whatever.
4 warriors move into position to attack Sludgehome the nearest barb city next turn, however upon ending turn, the wandering barbarian gets lucky and kills one of my warriors in a forest, this also blocks another warrior from being able to attack the city next turn, which leaves me with a dilemna.
Do I take the risk of 2 warriors (one combat I but hurt) being able to kill 1 warrior defending with fortify and city bonus or wait 1 more turn so my 3rd warrior can join in? Waiting an extra turn could result in the barbs having another unit built in the city. What I really want to avoid is taking the first option and then have my 1st attacker inflict little or no damage and just giving the defender promotions. Given that, I think I'll wait.

Ahhh I'm now dead last in score, I guess everyone else got a tech or captured a city already. Like I've said before, I don't analyse score changes much so not going to get any useful info here!
Right time to take on Sludgehome, first warrior has 9.9% odds. Hopefully he'll win a few rounds of combat so the 2nd warrior has an easy win
As expected he dies, he did put the defender down to 2.0 strength which gives my full health unpromoted warrior 62% odds or alternatively my C1 nearly full health warrior 67% odds. I know combat %'s aren't perfect in Civ 4 and I think its because of first strikes + HP of the units. So I might be making a dumb move but I'm sending the 62% odds warrior in first...
He loses but reduces the warrior to 0.5 strength an easy cleanup. The city is taken and the warrior is upto 5xp
Anyway the demographics make for poor reading at the moment, apparentely I'm top in production although I'm not sure how or why, the most notable thing is that I'm now easily bottom in soldier count after losing the 2 warriors.

Ok 5 xp warrior took shock I promo, I figure taking barb cities from warriors is going to be a major part of the early game, it'll should allow me to toss in a sacrficial warrior in future then clean up.
Score is now 3rd, 10 behind Selrahc, 3 behind Sciz, 1 ahead of Ravus and 12 ahead of Ichabod.
Demographics show the following
Top in production (really not sure why I'm 4 ahead of next best at this stage) and food, GNP is rather worrying though, I couldn't really push it much higher at the moment and still last. Soldier count is last too, either others were luckier taking a city or they haven't tried.
And a shot of land + 5xp warrior highlighted
Ending turn means research is finished on Ancient Chants and aanother warrior is built in Thariss. Any good ideas for a naming theme?

Like I said last post, Ancient chants is researched. My tech priorities are Education, Hunting and Mysticism not in that order. Hunting requires me to get Exploration too while Education is significantly more expensive that Mysticism. Given that Mysticism will unlock God King to help deal with city expenses and give me access to my double speed Elder Councils, I'm researching that next. ETA on Mysticism is hard to say.

1. I got an event in Thariss relating to health last turn. I spent 25 gold to get a graveyard.
2. The Grigori got their first Adventurer.
3. Sludgehome came out of resistance and I'm now 30% break even research...yuck
So yeah I'm only capable of running at 30% at best (switching between 0 and 100 at present though) and my GNP is the worst in he game. I think I may well have crippled my empire already! Mysticism is going to take a heck of a long time and there's no great way to speed it up.
But hey I'm top in food and score right?
