Here's another suggestion: go to the F9 - statistics page. You should be able to scroll to warriors under the units list, and see how many the game thinks you have built, and how many have been killed.

Ok, update on this, still a bit confused, but it looks like it was what everybody suspected
I have built 4 warriors, lost 5.
1 died to a scorpion, 1 to a griffin, and according to the event log I now know where to find 1 died to a mistform, what happened to the other 2 I am not sure, but thats probably just bad math/memory on my behalf.
End result is I have a mistform, am in big trouble, but the game can continue.
Thanks for all the help on this guys

Ok, how to kill a mistform.
I need a Str 6+ unit, options are:
Ranger: 179 turns to research
Vallin: 134 turns to research
Rosier: 120 turns to research (and goes through KotE)
Looks like I am going to try and found the veil!

So I have hired a scientist to try and speed my tech up, and switched to pacifism (although I just realised there is a chance the nasty mistform will kill any GP I make also, so I guess I need to make a warrior the turn they are made to shield them.
Both workers were left alone again however. I am guessing the mistform in NW of my city hence not bordering a worker, so I will try to avoid that area with them.
Building a pallisade for now, its only 10% but every little may help

We're your neighbors directly to your west, past the scorpions and Giants and
other assorted nasties. So far we've met Ichabod and Dantski; Ichabod to our
west, and Dantski to our southwest. We gather you've also figured out by now
the rather regular layout of this map? Having found you and from what we've
heard it appears the layout is something like.
Ich... I&M...JKa...

Once circumstances permit, we'll be interested in deals of mutual benefit,
such as open borders and perhaps mana exchanges. In the meantime, you'll just
have to enjoy our good company instead.
Anyway, take care, and keep in touch.
Mardoc and Irgy of the Kuriotates.

Open borders is a bad idea at least without a no scouting clause. Cant see what benefit mana trades has for me right now as I cant build adepts safely

still ticking away with my 2 workers.
Pallisade complete, and started on monument to pop the borders out and to try and get some cultural defense
Grown tot he point of unhappyness atm, and cant do much to control it. Only thing my workers can do though is farm, so they will keep at it.

Starved down from unhappyness by working a hill rather than a farm, still having my workers make farms, because, well there is nothing else for them to do.
Mistform if it is still there is leaving the workers alone still, can anybody confirm if I build a warrior and a GS in the same turn the mistform can only kill 1 of them or does the non combat unit die when the warrior does?

Got an event last turn.
I ended up decided to take the 5 temp unhappyness for the GA, which I used to bulb festivals.
Will up my max happyness while causing bit temp happyness issues, but hopefully I should grow back pretty quick from this.
It also provides a bit of change from logging in and pressing enter
Carnival stated, and the capital will starve down to size 1 I fear

oh and since nobody responded on the whole warrior and GS dying thing, I have decided to just hope this mistform doesnt like attacking GS just as he doesnt attack workers
