Am playing right now but not in the mood for a report, will give a 3 turn one tomorrow.
Edit: 2 bits of news, the good: I can make 3 turn horsemen out of my capital, that will go down.
the bad: OisÃn died to two skellies in the IT. The first must have redlined him (very low odds that, with C1 and 75% from the fortify and forest hill boni).

Turn 81
Not much happened, as I can't remember anything.
Turn 82
See the last post for info. Also as you've no doubt guessed, I completed a stable in Nicker.
Turn 83
First I get this nice romantic message:
More on that later.
Second the skelly turns into a spectre (Que?) and has combat 2. I scramble out two units to defend the plantation. Hopefully he attacks and loses enough hit-points in the attack (or better yet fails).
Land is like:
Not much difference except I can now start mining the gold at Hospital.
And demographics are:
Not much different here. Kyan is still running away with the game.
Finally some diplomacy;
Acalostas
A while back (about four or five days) I warned Acalostas to expect friendly visitors:
Quote:Nice to hear from you Acalostas, don't worry on the God stuff , our great Prophet Fr. Dougal MacGuire once said of God:
Bishop O'Neill: So Father, do you ever have any doubts? Is your faith ever tested? Any trouble you've been having with beliefs or anything like that?
Father Dougal: Well you know the way God made us, and he's looking down at us from heaven?
Bishop O'Neill: Yeah...
Father Dougal: And then his son came down and saved everyone and all that?
Bishop O'Neill: Uh huh...
Father Dougal: And when we die, we're all going to go to heaven?
Bishop O'Neill: Yes. What about it?
Father Dougal: Well that's the part I have trouble with!
So we avoid that whole thing altogether, as it is surely an ecumenical matter, as Fr. Hackett is fond of saying.
As regards my wayward warrior, he just wants to see the sights (nudge, nudge), experience the tastes (wink, wink) and enjoy the experience (hem, hem). So he should be spending freely, and to ensure he does we loaded him up with pre-emptive indulgences.
Fr. Dearg Doom.

Dear Dearg Doom,
Funny you should mention it. We here at the West Grigori Trading company are just about to open trade routes with the Mad Clowns, so we should have all kinds of forbidden pleasures awaiting your royals, for a small fee of course. We *are* a lucrative trading empire after all. I presume these royals have a rich inheritance to squalor on... earthly delights? any specific entertainment you want prepared for them? We seem to have a little bit of a wild goblin infestation they could work on
We of course would welcome the company of these Brave, Gallant, Rich men. We also have a diplomatic envoy from Balseraphs staying in our lands, so the party will no doubt be *wild*.
As for the disposing of Fr. Hackett; instability is good for business. As long as you keep all that Gods-stuff in the temples (we don't care what you do in the privacy of your own homes; Gods aren't good for business. Even Kilmorph; Earning gold through hard work? Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!).
Regards,
-Acalostas, CEO of the lucrative West Grigori Trading Company (I'm Rich!)
P.S:to clarify, I'm perfectly fine with their presence, and all the talk of fees is just flavour text [/COLOR]

Dear Acalostas,
one of my more decorated (and Royal) warriors will be in your vicinity in the next few turns (7 to be exact), either OisÃn McFinn or Diarmuid Ã'Duibhne (I forget which, too lazy to check), and I wish for you to lay on the proper welcomes for them, i.e. lots of cheap booze, loose women and spicy curries, during their stay, to distract them and encourage a certain lassitude, while I pull their power from under their feet by changing the government, and deposing Fr. Hackett (their father).
Yours in the hopes of a positive response.
Fr. Dearg Doom.
Some friendly and somewhat in character banter there. Keep him friendly so that he doesn't suspect until too late.
And my message to Kyan with todays save:
Quote:Kyan,
Astrologers at my court have given me the following prediction:
Time to get married?
And seeing as we seem to work so well together as a couple, would you be interested in formalising that arrangement?
Brian.
SWALK.
Thought it'd get a laugh.

Ichabod the time here is about 10:30a.m., if the save doesn't come by 1p.m. (2 1/2 hours) could you pick it up for me, because I won't be able to play it after that.

Not much happened this turn, because I finished Education at the start, and immediately (well after thinking for a minute) revolted to Apprenticeship. The +2 xp will be useful.
As regards Nicker the Skelly is at the gates. Lugh should handle him (3*220%= 6.6 against 3, not counting the attack across river penalty).
Muff finished it's market as well.
The spectre healed up, and I only had 10% on him, so I fortified both warriors on the silk (one already fortified) and started a warrior in Muff, before the settler (and if the spectre dies he can be escort duty too).
My settler is in place now for founding next turn, and the gold has been started to be mined (very bad grammar that last bit).
So Ichabod it's all yours.

Ichabod, I´m going to have to ask you to take over again. My computer crashed yesterday, and I´m having serious problems with it at the moment. I don´t know how long it will be for (as I don´t actually know what the problem is with it, but I hope I can get at least a replacement soon.
As the period is indefinate and could be significant, you can have free reign within the diplomatic strictures already agreed upon (i.e. our agreement with Kyan over Grigori lands).

Ok, I'll keep playing, then. I think I played turn 85 and 86 while you were away. Will have to do a quick recapitulation on the diplomatic front, though. I know you want to attack the Grigori and ally with Kyan, but I don't remember the specifics of it.

Ichabod, sorry for dumping you in it the last few weeks.
It turns out my computer is completely shagged, with the mother board gone. However I'll have a new one from Monday on and will be able to take back over. No internet, no games, no SFDebris though was rough.
Once again thanks for covering me and hopefully I'll be able to repay you.
Edit: won't have much time to talk the weekend but Monday I'll take the game back.

Hey Brian, glad to see you are back.
Sorry for the lack of reports, but it has been hard to find time to play my current saves, so giving reports has been very difficult.
Things to note about the game:
Code of Laws is ready, but I haven't revolted to aristocracy (due to the 10t rule and because I didn't know if you'd want to). We are heading to philosophy for the Order religion beeline.
We currently have 5 horsemen. Capital is pumping 2 horses in 3 turns and Hospital is starting to build them too. Muff is building a settler (I'd suggest it to be built in the city 5 spot) and Limerick just finished the monument (building a market while working the plains hill incense now - after border pop we'll have sheep).
Capital is a production monster. We can finish the Heron Throne in 3t after we have Marble, if I'm not mistaken. Trying to build the Bone Palace after marble and philosophy could be an idea, but maybe it's better to save the hammers for horsemen.
I've scouted Acalostas land and he still doesn't have copper hooked up (but he has a very near source and BW tech). There's a mobility horseman looking for Gaspar too.
Diplomatically, we met Rawkking, but I haven't talked to him (it's probably a good idea to say hello in the near future). I tried to make a world map for mana loan or something other than our map deal with Acalostas (I think I fooled him by sounding totally lost regarding the game). I also spoke a little bit with Krill, Kyan's replacement. I have a strange feeling that they are up to something... I'd be very careful with future dealings with them... They also seem to be pretty friendly with Acalostas...
I popped the Well and got 90 gold... Not very good, unfortunately. I'm currently gathering forces to surround the dungeon near Hospital to pop it too.
That's pretty much it, I guess...

Thanks for that Ichabod.
Rawkking sent both of us a PM so I replied to that, a proper introductory email will happen tomorrow.
As regards Acalostas he's sent an email about NAP extension and trade (mana I think). I haven't looked at the email but will tomorrow.
As regards Aristo I'm not sure on it at the moment. We're pretty food poor especially in the capital, and we need the production if the attack is to go off.
And finally bad luck on the Well. It's a pity only 90g. I was hoping for an order or veil priest at the least, and preferably either a good tech or decent GPerson.

Well I'm back and I'm better than ever (I hope). Everything got sorted, eventually, and I got to playing again.
Things are a lot different from when my computer crapped out on me, then I was only starting my horseman assembly line, now I have 6 and growing. My fourth city was only a hole in the ground, now it is about to claim it's first food, and actually become decent (pronounced day-sent), my demos looked bad everywhere, now they mostly look fairly competitive. Finally, I am actually looking like I will be ready for a proper push on Acalostas when the time comes.
Land:
Demographics:
Note the MFG push. That is mainly due to a heavily mined capital using god king. For that reason, and the fact my food situation is not great I'm going to forego Aristo for the moment (at least) and get cottages up and running in Hospital and get backline cities to provide my ready cash.
