Since Jkaen is here: Any thoughts on my placement of cities?

Thought: What about 1S instead of two?

Can settle Turn 0, though this does not matter due to civic revolt
7 Flood Plains
Wheat
Iron
3 Plains Hills
2 Grassland Hills
2 Grassland
3 Forests
Riverside
3 Plains flatland

This gives it excellent production, the riverside bonus, 7 FP(More than 2S 6), allows 2NW or another similar site with the ability to share cottages, with it's 3 hills + grassland Iron competing with 2S's 3 hills, 1W's 7 hills. It also means that, if as the mapmaker dictates there is iron/horse just around the hills 4S/4 NW, it is accesibly settlable. I don't see a problem with it.

Also FYI checking it, in place has +2 health too: It is listed in roll over as fresh water and next to the lake.

In the end, I decided to SIP: I felt it was the right move and, to be honest, I really felt hardly 2S would end up being a mistake, even if I liked 2NW. I am about 75% sure there is another resource and better city just south of it that would be invalidated if I go south and the Fin + CS start will be fantastic. Bob, feel free to let loose on me for this :P I kind of waffled hard because I was worried I was being a bit rash for not following the primary votes from Bob/Pin, but Twinkles was fine with it and 2S just made me...uncomfortable.

SIP wasn't absolutely horrible, but I do think it was a mistake. You could have had two excellent cities- instead you have one super-excellent city and not much in the way of immediately appealing second city sites. I think you need to get out of the mindset that you're really going to be building an empire, like you might in a SP game. You guys need to be prepared to be more pragmatic- if that means settling a city which requires farming some FP and working a lot of plains hills to produce units in bulk quickly, despite being Financial, then that's what you have to do. Things like extra health from settling location really aren't important- you'll should be whipping / drafting away surplus pop constantly anyway. I'm somewhat surprised but also glad that nobody factored Leeves in to the settling discussion. Just bear in mind that your empire is only a tool to get the most units of the best quality on the field as quickly as possible. Don't delude yourself into thinking that this game can possibly ever have a happy ending.

Little Bob in my head(You'll find out why you're in there another time Bob) is pointing out all the flaws with me not having settled, I'm pointing out all but one team did the same and Lewwyn's team did it with two people. Also odds are I'll be settling or deciding my spot to settle next turn, which will most likely mean a founding soon and a worthwhile delay IMO. Though I can still understand the arguements made, so...we'll find out what was better!

I am a little disappointed you moved the settler again without any real discussion as to whether it was worthwhile.

I don't know where you are planning to settle next turn but nothing looks that appealing right now.

Just because some others did it doesn't make it a good move.

Where would you have preferred I move it?

Pigs are a bad spot. Anything to the west is too far away from any other scouting unit or a good site NW to be worth it. Moving towards the capital delays any city site except the kinda bad Pigs spot. Moving to the plains tile by the hill it could of been is the same as this move, except reveals nothing more and actually puts us further behind if we want to settle other cities. No other tile reveals anything useful or delays settling spots. To me, it seemed like a very obvious descision which required no imput. Sorry I guess.

Also, I was not using it to justify my descision as good: I was using it to point out we are remaining even with anyone who has also not settled two citied with one civilization.

Also note if nothing good is truly found next turn, if you guys want I can move to a good pig spot and lose very little(Like half a turn) time.
