Good news: I have copper!
Even better news: It's at the "Dragon Bone's culture expansion" site!
Slightly bad news?
They're coming.

I'm not going to lose this race since the only one i'm actually racing with is gimped in the first place technology wise.
Good point... I suppose, since you're racing a cripple, you don't need to worry too much about going quickly.
Besides, I somehow missed that you're already researching Way of the Earthmother. Yeah, you've got no problems getting there, I think.
(In singleplayer games, I sometimes fall into this trap of, "I've got time... ooh! shiny!" and then whatever I really wanted in the first place I get beaten to by an AI.)

I'm pretty sure my arrogance is going to bite me when someone researches CoL first and then beats me to RoK, or the Clan gets 3 research events in a row =)

I just realized what an insane isolated start i have. To the top left, a scorpion blocks all passages to my land. On the west, i have a huge amount of mountains. To the bottom right, Eaglebeak met his end at the hands of another scorpion. To my top right, there's now a barbarian city. Bottom right, i'll show a screenshot next turn.
So the only entrance to my base now is south, and since a polar bear came from there... i doubt there's someone.
I'm all alone.
Edit: The best part is, that's exactly what i need as the Amurites. No potential rusher around me. And i have several really good city cites to colonize before i'll even think of taking the barb city.
Life in erebus for me is good.

I've got a strange feeling after seeing the Orc thread getting many posts... and realizing that Ravus is in charge of the orcs, and that he had an important diplomatic decision...
Is he killing someone, fighting someone, or losing to someone?

As promised, here's a screenshot of my south east area.
Yeah... that's pretty much as safe as it could be.

Yeah, pretty much...
Especially if there's no world wrap, it's worth noting that the main continent is almost certainly in that direction, so you probably want to push that way with your settling if you can, I'd think.

The problem is that i can't push anywhere till i get KotE, due to the fact that huge animals block all my ways as well. On the other hand, i can get at least 5 good cities, 1 more with luck, and a barb city to boot. (As well as a good fishing village). Now i don't plan to play a 5 city challenge again, so expanding after that will be hard, but for now it's good.

Thanks to the fact that i forgot that barbs could.. walk diagonally through MOUNTAINS, i'm losing a hill mine.
The barb came from 9, so yeah. I moved out a warrior as bait, if he takes it all well and good (unless i lose my second warrior on the offense, but i can do a 1-turn warrior with the flowover from my capital anyways).
Whoops.

You know you're addicted when you have 8 hours to finish an assignment, and instead spend in on bed trying to think of other possible moves in your FFH game.
Because this is honestly such a good start, i have much higher chances of winning compared to a certain lanun game...
