What the heck is this? Planetfall Lurker thread

Ah, I take it the players can't read each other's report thread? I was already wondering how they were ever gonna do surprise attacks with such an openness.

Each player can read his thread and the tech thread only. Lurkers can read all but must be very careful not to give 'spoiler' information to the other players. The lurker thread is designed for non-players to give their input or say whatever they want freely. I reccomend you don't assist the players directly but feel free to post in this thread.

Worms spawn outside of borders too, and then will aggressively push into bases.

Every point of FC:
Gives +0.5% strength to Native Life.
Gives +5% to spawn rate.
Gives -2% to time to settlement improvements.

Do I want any of those things? No.


If we burn down all the fungus, this planet could be a new Eden. We can make this planet a shining scientific wonderland. Frankly, you are in the way. Your dangerous worm centric propoganda makes you not just an enemy of progress, but a traitor to humanity.

Game looked fun, so I downloaded the mod to give it a spin. Interesting game. I suspect turning pods off is a good idea in a PBEM. Some of the results they give are crazy good. Plus, there's a significant snowball effect: good pod luck can give you mobile scouting vehicles, leading to even more good pod luck. I ended up with three rovers and two choppers in my first game, just from pods.

Cool! I'm certainly not invincible by the way. In a current (and my only) Planetfall PBEM I'm playing, I, a Nautilus Pirate, am on second spot trailing far behind the University player.

Re the University thread: you need Xenobiology to work plots with fungus or a Planet-providing resource, such as Monoliths.
