Did pirates settle on plains hill? There is someone with 2 hammers and it seems most logical explanation.
Okay so this might be a good time for a question: What exactly are the mechanics for visibility? I know that hills give an extra ring of visibility and that other hill/forests block visibility going past them, but are there any other factors affected by terrain that determine how far you can see out?
Here is a post Speaker made way back during PB2 to visualize visibility from different sources. Cultural borders work like you would have unit without sentry promositting in every tile.

Um....in plavan's ffh pitboss thread DaveV mentioned with sequential pitboss research is lost if nothing is selected. Whoever plays the next turn a) check if we lost a turn of research, and b) select Bronze Working.

Yeah. I had it fixed in my brain that this was simultaneous, or I would have said something
. My testing was with me playing all teams in a FfH sequential pitboss, but I'm sure I read something in the PB6 forum about overflow being lost if nothing was queued. I didn't test things with no tech selected in the early game, so we may still be able to recover those beakers.
I logged in and selected BW before it got back around to us, and it seemed to give us the beakers
