The Quarterdeck - Turn Discussion Thread

I can log into the game in half and hour and play the turn if no else one gets to it by then.

Ok, here's the turn ...




^ Trying new "screenshot" tag ... Moved worker onto forest to begin chopping next turn. Found another fish with Qcha. Moved scout (see below). Ended turn.




Barbados ... Too bad we couldn't get settler this turn. Missed by 2 hammers.

The scout didn't uncover much, but should be very close to our SW neighbor's culture.

Bronze Working came in after ending turn. No bronze in BFC, but 3 sources uncovered so far ...

Maybe we should ge the scout to come back up north so that we don't make contact with team. Also since bw is not near any of our planned 3rd city should we go for archery for defense after pottery or still go Hinduism and plant a 4th city soon after the 3rd to get bronze?

We're chopping out another Worker after the Settler?

I'm not sure we want that copper soon. Yes, it's close, but no land food and a civ without Fishing seems pretty bad. Does the Copper outweigh it?

And that Horse city isn't much better off, just Fish. Oh boy.

Queue up Fishing and head for the strategic resource cities or go The Wheel/Pottery, get Terrances, and settle that Deer/Corn/Grassland city?

I won't be available tomorrow to play the turn, so someone else will have to pick it up. Things we need to decide.

1. Build at Barbados ... Settler next? Worker next (use worker to chop settler)?
2. Tech path ... Wheel/pottery? divert to fishing? (if fishing then settler next is probably better because worker won't have anything left except chopping until we get pottery)?
3. Contact with team to SW ... is this still an issue? I mean, out settler completes when we end turn so it's practically on it's way already.
4. Placement of next city ... our tech path & unit build need to be chosen based on where we want to settle next.

I think we dont make contact with Team to the south until we plant our second city...for plausible deny ability...
Tech Path...wheel/pottery to get some terraces out and expand our borders with terrace culture (especially for second city).
Build a second worker and use it to chop out a third settler???
Third city should probably be at the deer down south east...
