zakalwe Wrote:Building an archer is a very natural follow-up to researching archery. After all, if they were NOT intending to build one, why would they want archery? Yeah, I was kinda ruling out Archery+Barracks even tho that's also possible ... I wouldn't be banging my head against this wall so much right now (coz it'll sort itself out later when we see a unit or they tech something they need a pre-req for) but it kinda makes a difference to what we want to build So if I can figure it out, then that'd be useful. I'm not sure I can tho.zakalwe Wrote:Also: Their warriors have been busy harassing us. Maybe they haven't found their backline copper? Possible, tho remember they did start with a scout too.

Archery and archers are ok in choking and hard to dislodge without siege from hill cities so they would fit decently what TEAM has been doing. They just were forced to choose worst possible enemy in us.
All the news was earlier - TEAM's capital growing to size 4 & an additional 3k soldiers to account for. I've changed the spreadsheet to make it Archery on T38 and an Archer now, as that's the current most sensible solution.

TEAM now have 57 or 58 hammers in something in Pitboss3 which is 43-45 more than last turn. But I don't think it's likely to be the same thing as last turn, more likely as plako suggests it's a worker or a settler catching a chop while last turn they were building military while they grew.

Gillette got a tech & 8k power, so it was Bronze Working.
Pirates whipped and grew with no power changes and no pop changes on the demos so they now have a size 1 capital and a shiny new settler (as plako saw) plus a size 2 second city.

From civstats TEAM whipped for 2 pop this turn. If you get into the game to see what they've done, plako (or anyone else), a screeny of the demos would be helpful

Thanks plako
![]() Yes, settler out of capital looks most likely. Pop has gone down consistent with Pitboss3 going from 4->2, only power change is the loss of 1k soldiers for the pop drop. I just wanted to be sure they weren't whipping things to come & kill us
