WW16: The Outlaws and The Olives

@ichabod- I can't say I don't suspect azza 100%. He's a village lean, IMO, and it's not like I've been right every time this game: aside from molach my track record is pretty crappy, and I even went and found a way to make being against molach look bad for me. But I did suspect molach more and always planned on swapping back. But I did want to see if other people were looking for a reason to more their votes.

@novice (and @azza, since he brought it up first) - true, i can't assume that we have all had village noise. My take on the day 2 and day 6 pushes (was it 6? it's the tasunke-mislynch day) was that we had lots of village noise. It's more of a gut feel, but to me those days were us scrambling around trying to find some wolf tell and just over-doing it and getting villagers instead.

That post about waterbat being 3rd onto a pile of votes is another example. That just doesn't fit for me as scum waterbat: one why, draw attention to your vote like that in such a way that almost undermines the idea of getting credit for voting on a fellow scum? And two, why misrepresent it even when you do? IMO, it's more like a disengaged villager.

Nonsense. My vote is on gaspar and I would much rather lynch him. If you want a blender, I can't think of a better one than this guy

pindicator Wrote:Funny thing, I remember that quote being brought up twice. Day 1 and yesterday; both times we caught mafia. I think Catwalk said it both times, too, which if he wasn't so obv village in his other posts would raise a lot of suspicion. (No, i do not suspect catwalk; especially because he's gone back to azza after I called him out on having blinders.)

Yes it was catwalk both times, but people parroted him afterwards. I guess I need a catwalk post stat.

Quote:@novice - what do you think of waterbat's cheerleading of the mattimeo lynch? He was the 2nd person to vote with you and his posts after that don't look like someone just trying to park a safe vote

I remember being wary at that time of Gaspar as he kept pushing that there must be wolf votes on Mattimeo. This seemed at the time like a mafia trying to salvage the best of a bad day - but since then havent gotten any bad vibes from gaspar and when he posts i almost always agree.

cross post with a ton - i stopped writing this to update my scraper.

http://www.cassidyweb.com/ww16 is updated to post 3200 (shortly after day 7 end)

What do you think of this, then?

updating scraper to 3220 (end of night 7) as i type this.
removed molach, tasunke, injera, uberfish from future updates.

ok, pindicator - 0 alternative candidates with more than 2 votes (before my vote to Azza). Compared to my 6-7 votes, that's a big hill to climb. Maybe not though - I've been surprised by big vote swings.

With Lewwyn going to bed though and azza as well - that reduces our liquidity.

Add in at least 2 maybe 3 wolves on me. - im going to need a concerted effort to save me.

fake edit: scraper updated.

novice Wrote:Also, Waterbat, what's your response to this?

I've gone back and forth on the whole lurky thing throughout my 3 games here.

I just couldnt stand getting stuck with lurker/inactive villagers at the end of ww14. But on the other hand - like i said earlier this game, my brain wants to resolve some stuff. lynching lurkers / inactives is a tough pill to swallow when you know it means another 72 hours and 500 posts until we learn anything new.

i've been jumped on for saying lurkers should die.

i've been jumped on for saying F*@# the lurkers, we'll get 'em later.

So.... i've mainly dropped the lurker crusading either way - it seems lose-lose.

The reason I eventually came to molach - is unlike the other lurkers (selrahc and jkaen come to mind), i didn't get villager vibes upon his return. When selrahc had some pressure before and responded, I liked what he had to say. Jkaen seems very straightforward.

The reason I didnt respond right away was likely that i was very busy at work last week. Typically, when you are online, that's where i am- sneaking in posts by phone.

I missed that. Nothing like a spanner in the works undecided

Dunno - I would guess scum have defended villagers before as a way to get cred, at least with the villager.

Gaspar is hard to pin down, really. When he does contribute he makes good observations, but the problem has been getting him to make those observations. Also (and this is with zero research), I don't recall him pushing cases on people. He's mostly gone along with whatever candidates the village has had available at the time. I'm sure he has voted independently; he just hasn't really advocated anybody as far as I can recall.

The one big village thing for me was seeing him on for lynch time when we lynched Rowain, but then i was considering that he could have been hoping for a power role lynch and that could have been the cause of his anxiety.

Which is why I was pushing for his notes. Even if they're half done, that would show that he at least has been putting something down. We've gotten nothing from him lately though and it's suspicious to me.

You've been on gaspar all game, so i like the consistency, even if I am still a bit annoyed by the lack of explanation smile

I'm kind of doubtful this is the wagon that saves me though - 2.5 hours to go! Catwalk - what say you?
