Couldn't Imhotep road the passage through the jungle several turns ago? smoke

What is your plan for settling the city. Do you plan to road to the tile and then settle city. Rego will surely get suspicious, if you are roading to that tile.

How many turns it will take to road and walk to that tile. I mean how turns of notification you want to give Rego that you are planning something.

Any ideas how to simulate it accurately? I suppose I would need to when Rego has had various border pops, which I don't.

From the screenshot you posted, you're highly unlikely to win any tiles on the diagonal towards Green Township, though you will pick up 1 or 2 on the vertical & horizontal axes. As I mentioned previously, moving the bomb site further north (1N or 1NW) will give a better strategic outcome, as you'll be attacking tiles with less historical culture (esp at Norwood).

The best way to sim it would be to open up some random private games in wordbuilder then fire off some culture bombs around AI cores to see the (lack of) impact.

Some RB crews played passive aggressive cultural domination SGs a long time back, and I can tell you that bombing can be extremely ineffective against well-established alien culture.

I think you need to start from turn 1 and run the game till the turn you are planning to bomb. Add Cultural buildings in oppistion CIV cities on approximate turns. I am not sure, if there is a way to zoom in and find out all buildings in a city….

Ok, so what I did was move the culture bomb 1NW and in the ini file I put in the cheat code so I can see the culture numbers of my test gaame. Then I guesstimated the amount of additional 'ownership culture those tiles would get, which I assume to be 20 per # of outer culture rings per turn. (So if the city has 3 rings, ring 1 gets 40/turn and ring 2 gets 20/turn, and all 3 rings get the city's cultural output per turn.)

So here it is:

In that context, the plan is firstly to road the forest tile that rego can't see (NW of the village). Then the diagonal line continues with a jungle, the dye and ground zero:

T-2: Move 2 Combat Engineers and a Jumbo onto the jungle.
T-1: Road the jungle and move 2 more Combat Engineers, the Combat Settler and the majority of mine and Imhotep's stacks onto the dye. Move the Great Artist onto the forest.
T0: Move the Combat Settler onto Ground Zero and found 'The Theatre'. Road the dye tile. Move the Great Artist into the city and bomb. Advance Imhotep's stack onto the grass hill west of The Theatre. Advance my stack probably onto that jungle north of the banana tile (depends on what units Rego has where. Culture will give me decent visibility and I also have a spy and a sentry HA in the area.)

Of course, for all I know Rego has spies in thearea anyway and surely he will suspect this is coming anyway. He knows I haven't used the GA yet.

The game has been a complete mess the past few months. We have now lost ZPV, MH, Krill, Memphus, Ruff and TAD. (Am I missing anybody?) But the game is the same old frustrating us vs them stalemate.

Also, I don't think I have any chance to win this game. The winner is going to be one of Dsp, Kodii, Yaz or Rego though maybe The Lins has an outside chance.

Anyway my plan for the near future is to try and militarily annoy Rego in the hopes of at least securing the win for the NUTA alliance as a whole and if I end up making the win for someone, I hope it's either Dsp or Kodii who have been my helpful allies throughout the game.

Bad news on the culture bomb plan... what I had feared has come true... Green Township has expanded it's borders blocking the spot I had hoped to found the city on:

To be honest, I was rather dissappointed at how ineffective the bomb was against established culture anyway and it's going to be even more useless now. Perhaps holding off on the bomb and either using it against Elkad is a better plan?

Actually, there may be a better alternative plan. I could go gung ho for Green Township, try and raze the city and then refound and culture bomb it's replacement:

Anyway, here are the forces that myself and Imhotep have assembeled, compiled into a nice big screenshot. It will not be long now until the first shots are fired in the new campaign:

As you can see, I'm also short quite a lot of unit names. I'll have to put my thinking cap on for those.

In other news. Daniel has founded a city over near Imhotep and he seems to have -just- beaten him to the spot. He also gave the city to me as we're pretty much on the same team and it's of more use to me. My score needs a boost anyway. I also got Engineering from him though I have him some cash to help fund his research (and presumably so did others in NUTA - I hope).

Anyway, I've sent Imhotep an email asking his thoughts for the best way to attack Rego since he has a lot more experience at this than I do. I'm awaiting his response and hopefully we'll come up with a concrete plan for the actual attack.

One other bit of information is I have absolutely no idea where Rego's army is. I have a sentry HA and a spy wandering around and all I have seen is a token garrison in each of GT, Norwood, Fairfield and Cincinatti and very little in the area. Rego pretty much knows this attack is coming and has spent the last 20/30 turns on heavy unit building as far as I can tell. But he has very little visible defence. Where the hell is his stack?

You are my favorite to win this game (if this war goes well).

Also, where you planning to build a city after razing Green Town ship?

Why not capture green township and then culture bomb it out of revolt (instead of culture bombing a new city (I have no idea out much culture there is in GT right now, but it couldn't be more than a Cbomb ?)).
