Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

I've played. Are we keeping the game paused for anyone else? I've left it unpaused.

I am in my first "real" war, so can someone clarify turn order for me? Munro declared on me last turn, so does that mean he gets first play on each turn?

Only if you agree to that with him to simplify things. Otherwise see the Pitboss Planning post for the rules (sorry, I'd link, but I'm stealing internet by parking outside a cafe and using my laptop...the pains of civ games during holidays visiting family), but basically you can't move the same unit more than once within 9 hours.

Yep.

Kodii, dsplaisted - shall we agree to play sequential turns during war as best we can - i.e. I'll play first each turn (I'll do my best to play within the first 9 hours of each turn) to avoid double moves?

IMHO this just makes for a fairer fight and more in keeping with the original game.

Let me know though either way. I'll assume sequential for the time being (especially since I can usually only log in once per day anyway).

Cheers

Sounds good to me. I will wait for you to end your turn before playing mine (circumstances permitting).

Could we clarify the interpretation of the double move rule regarding gifted units? For example, lets say person A moves and then person B moves and then person C moves a unit and gives it to person A. Then on the next turn, person A moves and uses that gifted unit. In essence, the gifted unit has double moved since it has moved twice since the last time person B moved. Is this hypothetical situation allowable under the rules or not?

I would think no. Unit would need to wait 9hrs or until person b ended turn. Could lead to some nasty situations that circumvent the double move rule.

Right - the 9 hours is attached to each individual unit.

Sorry guys, I have been sick from thursday on and couldn't even post a message. My apologies to everyone who had to wait for the full timer to pass for a new turn.

Imhotep
