OB with kalin and sullla it is!
I'll write an email request to them for OB. For plako I'll hold off on a while, just to see if any other ideas chip into our minds.

Just got a very INTERESTING message from Whosit. It looks like he might be pressed for allies at the moment.
Quote:Dear DMOC and Nakor,
As you noted, I have accepted your request for Open Borders. If you are heading east, I would prefer that your Warrior head due east through my territory (without taking too many detours), though he is free to make use of any roads that I have. There are many forests for your Warrior to use as cover as he travels east, though the journey would still be dangerous. If you happen to come across any Barbarians in that region, would you let me know so that I can adequately prepare for any incursions? That would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your guess on who has the religions. I am fairly certain that Byzantium founded Buddhism, but I don't think that India was the one that founded Hinduism, though I'm not sure. I seem to recall that several civilizations increased their scores on the turn Hinduism was founded, though I cannot recall which off hand. Because it does not appear that anyone has actually converted to a religion, it's hard to tell.
What are your plans for the future of your empire? I am hoping to find strong allies because I do not think that any civilization will survive without cooperation. It seems to me that cooperation between the Galactic Empire and the Holy Roman Empire is natural because we are close enough to help each other, but far enough apart to make military action against each other a foolish choice. For the time being, I believe that everyone is content to expand and lay the foundations of their civilization, but I am sure that once space begins to run out, tensions will rise, and we all need someone to watch our back, right? Let me know what you think.
Best regards,
Whosit, Galactic Empire

Sullla message.
Quote:Dear DMOC and Nakor of Holy Rome,
Thanks for your earlier response to our first greetings. I wanted to respond sooner, but weekends this time of year can get a bit crazy!
We've had pleasant relations with Dantski thus far as well, and hope that that situation will continue into the future. We were also curious about the placement of Dantski's third city; it didn't overlap with anything we had planned, but it was a good distance away from his capital, in kind of a strange spot. We similarly guessed that the spot had a strategic resource of some kind, maybe horses or copper.
At the moment, our borders are fairly close to Dantski's, although they are not directly touching. You could probably squeeze in another city or two, although in one area it would be a bit of a tight fit! Now, having answered your question on that subject, I hope that you'll be willing to respond in turn, and let us know how much room there is between YOUR cities and the Romalinese! Turn about is fair play, after all.
I also hope that we'll be able to stay on good terms in this game. The only ones more important than your neighbors are your neighbor's neighbors!
Cheers,
Sullla

Interesting indeed!
Let's remain friendly with Whosit, I think some might be a bit frightened about the preats and might try to take him out soon.
I'll send an e-mail to Sulla about the city naming later today, forgot to do that.
I do wonder when the next war will come. Plako is building quite a lot of military when you look at demo.

Well whosit could be the one taking out others ... hard to tell whose side we should be on if we try to be friendly to both him and plako/broker33.
Okay, will keep checking demographcs, etc.

Turn 67:
Sethanon grew to size 2, monument due in 12 turns, sooner with the forest chop. Overflow from the chop will go into an axe, ok?
Krondor is building barracks (4 turns), in 3 turns a forrest will be chopped. So that will overflow into an axe. Can you add an axe in the middle of the que so the overflow doesn't go into our almost finished axe? Borders will pop in 2 turns.
Rolan will grow next turn and finish the barracks. Worker is next with a whip for after 1 turn. Then one or two axes to grow to size 5 again before a settler? Or do we go settler before worker?
Priesthood also due next turn. Still CoL next, or shall we do sailing to claim that second copper (can sell that to Plako)...
Scouting goes well, moving past Whosit and Sulla's lands.
Had a chat with Kalin, their war is about their chariots against 4 archers. They don't have copper yet and have met all civs.
Chat with Dantski indicated the has Iron and thinks everyone has.
Next update with some pics!

No. You can use a different Unit (Spear for example) or Building but the first Axe in your Queue will be the allmost finished one.

Thanks Rowain!
How about this: we whip the barracks, overflow goes into the axes, the forest chop goes into the next axe and we will probably have 3 axes very quick then to take barb city...

Had a talk with Dantski, who's not to keen about us taking barb town (what a surprise):
Quote:me: Hi Dantski.
How are you?
Julius: hi nak
im ok
me: great! have you scouted that barb city yet?
Julius: i have a unit next to it now
me: care to tell me what you see in it? 2/3/4 archers?
Julius: depends
do you plan on capturing it?
me: yep, do you to?
Julius: i wouldn't really like to see another city my way
me: I know, but it's closer to our core then to yours...
Julius: i dont plan on keeping it though
me: and we really don't have ghostiel intentions...
Julius: doesn't fit with my dotmap
me: hostile
towards you..
it's not perfect for our dotmap either but could fit.
well, you've got a few turns before our army is assembled...
Julius: how do you assemble an army before you know the target?
me: just build e few axes and march.
Julius: so you plan on taking it regardless?
me: well... we were... but you don't sound to happy about that.
Julius: im not
me: care to explain?
Julius: i feel your first city was very aggressive
and you haven't settled towards plako yet
seems like you are focusing your land grab my way if you go after this soon
and regardless of invading or not, i consider that hostile
since it will limit my expansion
me: you've got very little room left north then?
Julius: hang on a sec let me look at my dotmap
2 filler cities maybe
me: true about setting near Plako, but our next settler is going to go east to plako, we already agreed on a settling non-aggresively next to each other there.
2 filler cities, ok, that's not a lot. you're at 3 now, right?
Julius: well i don't plan on settling closer to you near the barb city
i woudl raze it and settle more north
me: The barb city would close our borders with you, right?
in our dotmap the city was a bit more east then the barb city, but is would save a settler
what can I do to convince you of our non-hostile intentions?
Julius: agree not to capture it but raze it
me: remember, we're got Rome next to Plako (who probably has no copper/iron...)
Julius: and we can both say where we intend to settle
if you're agreeable
me: and preats soon.
need to talk to DMOC about this.
Julius: ok not really meaning to be hostile here but
id not want to be squeezed too much
a HRE city in the barb city position wouldn't allow much room
fo myself to settle one city your way
me: you could settle north of barb city and west of krondor, right?
We looked into the game and tried to find a solution...

Interesting stuff with Dantski, were you able to find a solution ingame?
I would say that if we can capture the barb city before he can, we have the right to keep it. Just my quick thought
-will look more at this later, busy now
