T76:
The barb warrior in the far south east move up to our exploring Woody Warrior. Woody Warrior retreats eastwards onto the Wine.
Scout has boarded the galley and galley has set sail toward the south west. Should be able to pop the first hut next turn.
Eastern exploring chariot has moved 1NE as you suggested.
I moved the zone-defending warrior between Cambridge and WSP to intercept the barb warrior approaching Cambridge. He now sits next to the barb in a wooded tile for extra defense. Idea is to have the barb warrior attack him instead of pillaging the Ivory or approaching Cambridge. If he goes for the Ivory, nothing we can do I fear. If he ignores the bait and continues next to Cambridge, the zone-defending warrior will whack him.
Turn ended.

Boarded! Wow - I thought it would take two turns for him to get on board. Excellent!

Can the barb move next to Cambridge? Can Mr Zone Defense get inside Cambridge? Loss of ivory would be a pain ... loss of Cambridge to bad rand() outcome would be much worse.
The chariot out of Boston will fix that problem going forward.
Thanks for covering for me.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

The scout used up all its movement points to make it to Boston.
That still allows you to set him to "embark".
Then move the galley, and exhausted scout is on board!
Yes, the barb can move next to Cambridge next turn (and get killed by two of our warriors) OR attack our zone defender in a forest OR move onto the Ivory with subsequent pillaging, which we cannot prevent sadly.

The barb near Cambridge did attack the zone defense guy and lost. I've moved ZDG back to our road network. The scout-in-a-galley found and popped the hut (41g). The explorers explored ...
Boston is the #1 city but only because of Stonehenge. The other cities on the list are 2 or 3 population points bigger. BGN offered a cease fire (accepted) and a new barb came out of the area that his scout is (was?) in.
The 41g from the hut gave me enough to turn tech back on (Maths).
Edit: BGN is out to 7 cities. I have 5. I don't think I can win by (trying to) keeping up via expansion. I might have to take my cities from Q instead.

I have 5 workers. I can see 5 of Qs workers. To me, that says that (one of) the problem with my game is that I don't have enough workers, I work unimproved tiles and I end up missing out of hammers, food and commerce as a result.
My hut popping scout didn't take long to run into trouble ...
He avoided that conflict by jumping back into the boat.

Here is what I know (via the diplo screen) about the people I have met. BGN has currency, cities, and ... other stuff? The rest of us have butkus.
The chariot detailed to Barb control cleans up the warrior. Next up is a ... errr ... spear? That should be interesting.
Edit: This is why you don't make snap decisions. I had a few options here ... upgrade a warrior to an axe via gold (yuk) or whip the axe out of Cambridge and hope it got there in time. I actually thought about this while I went on a dog rescue transit run and decided to swap W State Park to an axe and whip it next turn. WSP at size 2 can generate 6 or 7 hammers ... more than enough to get under the 1 whip size threshold.
I really must get some units down into this area to spawn bust. Here are two tiles that will give me pretty good coverage.
On the Q front - that wheat had 3(!) workers farming last turn. I have decided to invade and see what I can see ... back in a minute with an update.
I haven't finished the turn. I obviously have some things to resolve first.

War declaration IM'd to Q. Before I get to the results ... below is why I think Judaism is the best religion to land in this game. It seems to spread the most (and fastest) ...
Also - Woodie II explorer found some Cale land ...
Anyway ... Mr Chariot moved onto the wheat to find ...
Options now - pillage and then suffer axe attack or try and kill the city and get some gold. Attack!!!!
