Here's the End of T81. The eve of destruction smile

The picture isn't quite as nicely done but hopefully it imparts the point.

I did some tests and discovered something interesting. To get the circumnavigation bonus on a toroidal-wrap map we need to not only explore all tiles on the E-W axis, but *also* on the N-S axis! As such, I suggest we build after the galley a work boat either in Kashyyyk or Coruscant and send it N. We'll need another WB at some point.

Sigh, Kodii left the game, and now requires a reload frown

I am unsure how to react but I am opposed to a reload now. I asked him a bit earlier if he needed a reload, and he didn't say yes, so I assumed he didn't. I am sorry that he missed the turn, but I also feel he was responsible for requesting a pause. We revealed our HAs which is something we wouldn't have done should we have known about the reload.

I think our position should be that we oppose a reload. The argument is that we revealed some information that cannot be unlearned. Kodii's replacement would have to take it from where it stands right now unfortunately.

Athlete, what do you think? I'd like to hear your opinion before we post in the IT thread.

If everybody makes the exact same moves, would a reload really affect anything?

This is exactly what I was thinking. A reload won't matter if we all make the exact same moves. I was always under the assumption that when the game is reloaded, you play exactly the way you did the first time. It would be quite easy for us to tell if they didn't.

And so the Byzantine's are no more. Hopefully the public player thread message doesn't give too many spoilers away. I'll get some pictures up but here's how it went.

HA dead. HA won. HA dead. HA dead - Archer unscathed. Unpromoted HA vs fully healthy, fully fortified archer (odds about 33%) VICTORIOUS! C2 Chariot victorious and C1 chariot FTW!!!

In other news there's a barb city right about near our copper site and the marble site and I suppose the site to the SW of the Inca Hindu Holy City. Real inconvenient spot though we could atleast get some gold from it. Again I'll get pictures soon.

A bit of a half-hearted yay! here... 3 HAs lost... ouch! But let's look at the half full part of the glass: we eliminated Byzantium, and we are now in pretty good position to continue the game.

There's a bit of a problem because we promised 4HAs and 4 chariots to the CoW, which means another HA probably from Kashyyyk...

Re: Barb City -- I think we should take it and keep it, then alter a bit our dot map. Maybe the copper city can go 2E of the rice, or 2E1S of the rice. We have to be careful because there was a barb axe around there.

EDIT: Looking at things again, it's not so bad... we lost an extra HA, but now we have a barb city! So it compensates smile

Quote:Anyways Kalin's sent a quick acknowledgement to them and we received a short e-mail back. Kalin do you have any idea about this line:

IMO one of the biggest advantages to working something out is the surprise that it could engender
I haven't a clue.

That line was supposed to mean that it would be a big surprise to the other civs when we suddenly start working together!! lol
