Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

[PB22-SPOILERS] HAKFlakes...the cereal that will choke you until we win

So we met mackoti this turn...well, more specifically he met us. From the direction his scout is facing, the only place he could have come from is the tile I have marked on the screenshot.

After I took the screenshot, I whipped the WB in the capital as per the plan. And the forest that the worker is chopping is in control of Fruit Loops.
Next turn, the Cheerios will work the Oasis & Clams, and Fruit Loops will take the Rice. Both units will also finish healing next turn, and after that the scout will continue exploring and the warrior will return north through the fog.

So basically so far we can likely assume that mackoti is to our north and gavagai is to our east. I don't really know much about Gavagai, but having mackoti so close to us is worrisome.

Just logged in to poke around. Didn't touch anything.

This was an relatively uneventful turn. The chop finished, putting those hammers into the Barracks. The Warrior is on his way back north, clearing the last bit of fog he can before he heads through previously uncovered lands to that area east of our capital. The scout is continuing his exploration. There is a creature (forgot it's name...just remember it has power 1 and movement 2) that I have to move around carefully. Basically trying not to end the turn on flat ground until it has attacked me and hopefully lost.

When you logged in, were you able to get whatever details you would need for getting the sandbox back in sync? Also, one thing I had noticed previously....the sandbox I downloaded seems to only be able to let me load it up in regular BTS. Does it need to be saved or accessed in a special way for it to be played using the RtR mod? Or are we getting to a point where having a sandbox is not longer valid? Especially since we have met two opponents which now will possibly slightly change research times for things.

I'm currently expecting that we're going to want to make our next city east of the capital to get those cows and share one of the clams. Certainly will depend on what else (if anything) I see over there once the warrior makes his way up there.
But after that, if I can't find any other copper close by, we're going to have to go north into that ugly land by the desert & peaks to get that copper with our 4th city. Everything will also probably depend on where we see horses once we get AH (which I'm thinking should do after Hunting). Since Horses would get us use of our UU. I'll post more screenshots after this next turn.

Our scout fended off the creature without taking any damage. So off exploring he went.....and found another Copper. Too bad it's so far away and across the jungle.

This is an obscene amount of Silk. I could theoretically plant a city on that middle silk and have a single city with 6 silk. Not that I would do that, but it's possible. pimp

And that jungle around that Rice is just going to be sucky. There aren't many hills. So after eventually chopping the jungle in the very far future, any city there won't get much production.

Those are Sugar, and actually planting on Suger is not bad, especially pre-calendar. I fact, I was thinking about a city on the northernmost Sugar, using the 3rd ring border pop from the capital at Turn 50.

Look! Time for some more gold next turn from another Hut. bang

So our "friend" the Hut gave our Scout more experience. Well, at least now I can finally give him the Woodsman II promotion so that he can move through these forests and such faster. *sigh* A tech or another scout would be really nice...but obviously this game doesn't want to be nice to me.

Oh yay....I just got another Hut for a lovely 22 more gold. frown

So our warrior made it back north and uncovered a bit of the land to our east. I still want to wait for AH to come in before we make any final decisions, but I'm leaning towards one of the two marked spots as the next city. The first one has it only 2 tiles from the capital and has it capable of sharing a lot of tiles with the capital. The next one over puts it on a Plains Hill which I like the idea of, and would expand it's river tiles.

And here you can see the exploratory route of the scout. I had refrained from posting about seeing the hut last turn in hopes that maybe this time I wouldn't jynx it by talking about it first.....didn't help. frown

Tough luck with this huts frown I'll try to get in the sim this week again so we have the next 10 turns planned out before the current plan ends
