Mali to CoW:
Quote:Hi CoW,
I was planning on declaring this turn but with this news I'm inclined to propose the following.
Greece/Ottomans attack now or on schedule.
HRE and myself both declare on T105, hopefully Indian forces will be mostly north. Essentially this means the north is the diversion rather than the south,
What do you guys think?

Kalin's sent a quick reply off to CoW:
Quote:I am not opposed to this plan. I don't think we'll be able to take
Chancellor anymore, but we'll still field a big stack so I am thinking
to just beeline for the horses together with Jowy. Romali/HRE can then
maybe go to Antietam and head for the copper.
On a different note, we have to make sure that Korea/Inca do not gift
India resources. If bad comes to worse wars and/or blockades may be
necessary.
Let us know what your thoughts are.

Hey Kalin,
I've been thinking about our NAP with India and just want to clarify. As our NAP is until T100 I would assume that includes T100 so we technically couldn't declare until T101. Does that make sense? What do you think? Are we allowed to declare T100 or do we need to wait?
Also given the size of our stack I think we might be able to split off a smaller stack to head along the inner coast and possibly take a city on the outskirts. I need to look in game to see but you never know. Just a thought. The main stack should still beeline for strategic resources to pillage.

Hey Athlete,
I saw your draft to India (thanks for starting) and made quite a few revisions. Please check but don't send until we agree. I feel the initial draft was giving away too much, so I want to discuss the new one.
I felt similar about Greece, wanting to remind them to keep us informed, but as you said Jowy's emails sometimes read in a strange way. Remember his email when we started the CoW that sounded almost upset... I guess it's a different style. I was quite busy in real life, so didn't have time to pursue things too much.
I also had the idea of detaching 2HAs, and 1-2 chars and see if we could take Hampton Roads, because I don't think we'll be able to take Chancellorville. I am not sure about this, and I am tempted to just play conservatively and just beeline for the horses.
I am pretty sure T100 is not included. Here's the exact quote:
Quote:We reject your offer to renew the NAP and thereby declare you war...
just kidding Thanks for the reminder. Your points are good, so
let's renew our NAP starting turn 80 for 20 turns until turn 100.
Starting T80 for 20 turns means to me until T99 (included).

We'll continue as planned over here and will attack at T100. I've declared war on Sullla to kill their scouting warrior. They've got construction queued atm, but are 100% on commerce. Dantski & Nakor, if you think it would be beneficial to wait until turn 105 then do that. Though personally I'm not convinced that the benefits would be worth the units building and whipping by India for 5 extra turns. I'll leave it in your hands.
BTW I'm going to claim the latter half of the turn. I think once everyone else declares you can join me in that.

Kalin,
Go ahead and send your edited draft. I'm fine with that. Much simpler and clean. Mine was a bit convoluted. Thanks,

Not to mention, in a twist of irony, that that is Sullla's forum signature

This is just my 2 cents, for the lurkers and spulla if they ever get to read this. At the very least they need to be allowed to move this turn and given how Jowy is claiming the 2nd half, by right I'd say the 2nd half by right is owed to Spulla. However if Jowy had attempted negotiation first rather than claiming things might have gone differently (publicly speaking). In the end I think the rules state teams have to agree to a turn split. We don't have any way to make them agree. Personally India deserves the 2nd half but that's in large part to their unwillingness to play the turn until any potential enemy has played (they've been doing that for a while now). They haven't really given another team a chance to take the 2nd half. Anyways it's best an arbritrator rule before Jowy really screws himself diplomatically by continuing to be defensive and mulish rather than objectively looking at this (that can happen when things heat up).
