Pegasus Wrote:Ok - so we are clearly behind in posts with some of the other popular teams cry so I think it's time to message spam a little lol

Only message spam a little?lol

Pegasus Wrote:And, ughh, i'm not particularly happy with the look of that land up there.

yikes Hopefully there is a resource or 2 somewhere near there otherwise...

Quote:And then this this one for Sockboy who seems to be more clued in on the C&D than I am. shhh

Well the demographics are exactly the same as last turn so no C&D here.

Well, nothing to do other then move the warrior.

We shall call this the land of plenty.....not, at least we have another food resource and with a granary gives two health.

i'd move the warrior west - south west now we don't want to move to far from Aquilonia at the moment

Border pop next turn should reveal more info on the land to the south although depending on how much map tweaking has gone on i think we are to the far south of the map anyway (snow trees south with normal trees to the north)

reposted the map with yields on and the demo's for the number crunchers

Well we have a new turn started jive Things seem to be moving along rather nicely early game.

As ad hoc mentioned previously we were due a border pop this turn which revealed some interesting revelations...

Oooh look another food resource to the south west. I'm also hoping for greener lands down there also.

From a security standpoint, our weakness is SW SW of Aquilonia where any of our fellow competitors could come out of the fog and put our Capital at risk
From the West and South we get a 3 turn warning and the only other 3 turn attack would come from the square 2 East of the Silver.

So how do you guys want to play this? Should we make haste to reveal the SW area or take a calculated gamble that we should be safe down there for a few turns longer and arc round something along the lines of W SW SE S, or make our way to the hill SE of silver?

Other things I noticed in game were our city is now No.3 in top 5 cities lol and I have taken another demog piccie but have left that in the photobucket account for now.

I think we should arc round to the west and then continue to arc round the South. I have also just noticed we havn't named our Warrior yet. Do we go with the obvious one first?

i think we should go sw-sw-w, if we churn out two warriors after the worker we can then scout in both directions

also if horses appear in the bfc then it also brings up chariots for scouting which will make up for any lost time

I actually have to disagree with you on this. I think we should go NW. This is because we will have 3 turns without any scouting which will put us at a disadvantage. In a game like this where we can exchange screenshots, finding contacts is going to be VERY important. Besides, it's going to be very boring with no scouting.

Also what if we don't have horses in the BFC? How are we going to make up for lost time then? We probably will be building chariots anyway (assuming we get horses of course) but I don't want to fall behind on the scouting so early.

why i understand the scouting, two turns of scouting lost revealing at worst only five tiles against being wiped out in first twenty turns.

The chance that someone will find our capital on turns 3-6 with a warrior is so low its ridiculous(if i'm wrong then lol but I don't think so). Even if they did find us and wanted to rush us(which is risky), the warrior might not even make it in time. The only way to ensure we stay alive is to fortify in our capital, which I hopefully don't need to explain why it is such a bad move.

Let us ride the whirlwind then and continue scouting bang, but i would suggest going north east and not north west.

two reasons: not this move but the next will reveal more tiles as we go onto a hill and we are heading towards the wheat and silver for perhaps a second city location

Cheers for the pics, I'll try and keep up to date C&D wise. I noticed we're third in a couple of tie breaker categories, so I wonder if that's just due to some arbitrary in game ranking (i.e. we're third in a list somewhere).

WRT scouting, I second scouting NE, I think we're safe for a few more turns, but by turn 12/13 I'd like to be able to get home in a hurry if possible. I think we should have time to scout up near the wheat/peaks then come back around the sheep to get a view of possible city sites over there. Our next warrior should have time to check out the SW and as we're creative we'll get another border pop pretty soon which will increase our warning time for incoming threats.
