Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

RBP3 [SPOILERS] - Zara of the Ottomans

I think SE to followed by SW, standard zig zag pattern unless something shows up.

WarriorKnight Wrote:Actually, I think we should go SE. The reason being that the capital's borders will expand onto that hill on t26 (long before the settler) giving visibility onto those tiles.

Well spotted. I agree SE next turn.

Well, we can afford to go SE then SE again without missing any tiles.

But otherwise I agree with this.

With comparing growth plans, we are going to get nowhere unless we rank them in order of preference. I would go with:

1- Earlier workers (probably most important thing right now)

2- Earlier Settler

3- More food (aka earlier regrowth)

4- More Production (food always beats production)

5- Flexibility between 3rd or 4th warrior or barracks (is this really an advantage?)

Personally, I would stick to the rice tile just because we don't have to commit to anything. Then again, I haven't really looked at the plans in tremendous detail so feel free to :neenernee me if I'm wrong.

Ok, score wise this turn looks like 3 civs picked up techs (6 point increases) and 1 civ grew (2 point increase).

Rapoleon_Hi grew his city to size 2, which matches with the warrior build we picked up earlier.

The three civs who learnt techs I've marked down as all learning Agriculture. I think it's the most likely tech they're missing. It costs a turn more than Mining, which we're pretty sure got picked up last turn and the average soldier points didn't increase this turn, so they didn't learn techs with soldier points. It's also a useful early game tech, and none of these teams start with it. DIM was one of the teams to gain a tech, I wonder if meeting us let them save a beaker off agriculture?

Average soldier points did decrease however, so someone lost their starting warrior to an animal by the looks of things, that or war has been declaredyikes! I guess another few turns will let us know if it was an animal or if someone is bowing out of this game already smile

Anyway I think animals will start showing up soon if they haven't already, so maybe SE with Conan is better for next turn.

I think we're all pretty much agreed on Rice first now, so we can move on with our plan. Just stick to working/improving the high yield tiles until we get to size 3, that's the next turning point in the plans.

I think that two SE moves are taking us to far away from our capital, i would prefer to start coming back south and west now to check out the area around the two tile lake.

Well, there was an agreement to move SE so...

Looking too brown for my liking.

The score rises this turn were for DIM, Lobo.Thibron, Cyneheard's team and the friendly Kittens.

DIM grew to size 2, due to their score only increasing by 2. We can confirm in the top 5 city screen.

The other 3 teams got a tech, but I have no idea which ones lol. There were no other soldier point increases nor any religions founded yet. Anyone else want to guess? My best guess is agriculture for all 3.

With Barb animals likely to appear any time soon, I think we should plan to stick to the forests / hill tiles whereever possible from now on. With that in mind I think it is looking like SW SW, however the 2nd SW limiting us to how many further tiles of fog it will reveal.

If we really want to throw caution to the wind we could go NE and and head south through the forests to our east?

i'd still go SW-SW, we need to scout out to the south of Aquilonia and the second warrior can head west/north west to scout
