Now that you point it out, I think you are right. It has a very similar vibe to PB13, and not that area only, also the (what seems like) inner sea. But the terrain overall is better.
My incompetence is also back from PB13, so there's that too (a good player could have won from my PB 13 position, I think). But this time retep has a more engaged role than wetbandit in PB13, which is good. Well, not that retep had the best time of his life in PB13 too, right?

Sorry for being kind of absent this couple of days! So much stuff to do lately.
But I'm back and ready to make more sims
One thing that is weird is the lack of competition so far.

No worries, I won't ruin the game while your micro lasts.
Pro hut popping skillz gave us Mysticism! I think it was the last tech left for us to pop, so it's a big deal!
We got a forest growth in the Capital, which is probably nice. I think I'm following your micro plan correctly.
Big news of the turn is that we found an opponent. It's Molach, FIN/CRE Celts. I think it's a decent neighbour, though we could get better. Unfortunately, the beautiful corn/pigs is his. Luckily, he has very slow traits for expansion. I put our EPs into him, by the way (no difference now, but perhaps we'll meet someone soon).

By the way, the hut there shows that Molach doesn't know about the land that way. He probably haven't scoutedanything north, otherwise we would have met earlier.

I reaççy think we need to get that blocking city against Molach. I doubt he'll expand there first, but we can't really get it after 3rd/4th city... The big problem is that that city severely hinders our snowball, it has no first ring food, so it really sucks. Perhaps we could settle 1SE of the rice, the ricefish, later corn city? It's not as defensible (not on a hill), but we'd still have culture control over the hillto put units there/road to attack first.
The plan with that city probably means the pig/copper city as second city, so we don't need archery. But if we settle for copper on the second ring, than I think we need archery next for a blocking city.
Great Wall on the second city, while going masonry as next tech??

If we want to speed up the pig/copper city by a turn, we need to road 1W of the Cap and chop the forest where we'll settle the city. If we want to do that, we probably need to back track our scout to help fog bust. What do you think about it? It's worth a try in a sim, so I guess I'll do it.

Any ideas about what to do with our workers starting next turn? Would a farm 1W of the Capital be worth it, considering our very high happy cap and our not that great food surplus? Could also go with some roads while we get pottery...

I see only one 'C' sign so move warrior to it and also the worker, and Settler 3N.
Not sure what the workers are supposed to do so moved them 1N and cottaged twice.
Moved scout 2S to reveal Spearman in Adrien's city:
