Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

RPB3 SPOILERS Bismarck of India (regoarrarr, darrelljs, sooooo, sunrise089)

Okay so there are 3 choices for the city of T-shirt contest

a) 1W of copper on the plains hill
b) 2W1S of copper
c) 2S1E of copper - the pigs / copper / sharable rice spot

Settler will be done on T36 with 2 of our 4 chops (1 in, 1 in 2 turns)

I am putting 2t of farm into the tile 1N of ladies night as those turns would otherwise be wasted as we go to chop those western forests.

Big demographic news is that Dantski has apparently been building a settler at size 1, and is the first civ to have a 2nd city.

That's potentially bad news for us as he is our immeidate SW neighbor. Hopefully he went the other way.

Guinness the southern warrior beat the hurt lion flawlessly on the interturn, found some furs, and will head onto a plains hill next turn for some more visibility

Also we will pop our 3rd ring next turn thanks to Henge

Got an email back from HRE sayign it wasn't their scout that had been eaten by the lion (maybe that was the one that took out ruff's scout a few turns ago?)

Did some quick simming - with the 2 chops, we'll have the settler done on T36, and found the 2nd city on T38.

Hunting is done on T36, and Wheel is 10 turns after that. So I think it times up pretty well to do Wheel next and hook up our copper, then AH after that, then probably go for Pottery->Writing.

I think we are pretty unlikely to get the Oracle, unless we start going right now. From the conversations that Krill and I had last night, it looks awfully suspicious that Exploit of Sumeria is heading for Priesthood and Ziggurats. If we don't even go down the religious branch for 20t, it looks unlikely.

Plus with our early Henge building, anybody that is aiming for the wonder is going to be served notice to get it going fast. (Either that, or figure we'll go for Oracle and not bother lol)

Quote:Ruff,

Unfortunately we can only provide directions to the HRE scout we met (which we prematurely feared was killed) and it has moved back into the fog. We will email the HRE and ask for a meeting spot. Probably the best direction for your warrior in the meantime is directly towards our land, since we don't know whether the HRE scout went east or west.

We are pretty sure the nameless civ is not Krill, since we just met Krill ourselves wink He is located rather far to our SW but currently has a warrior working his way north around our land. If you send your warrior towards our land we'll make sure you meet Krill as well as the HRE.

I agree with Hunting->Wheel->AH (and have queued those up) and Settler->Warrior->Scout->Settler, and I very much agree with the rice+pigs+copper spot, which allows an axe+spear combo to cover Wet-t-shirr contest and ladies' night.

Quote:That is interesting news regarding Krill. I didn't expect another player out there to be so paranoid about revealing identity. Might you, it could still be Krill that the HRE have met (have you checked F4 to see if they have met each other?) as this sort of 'messing with the players minds' is just like Krill.

I have passed your email onto our turn player and will see if we cannot get our warrior heading your way to met up with Krill.

I have attempted to map out people's locations as far as I have understood them.

https://docs.google.com/Doc?id=dgsw2hvc_38d3swmzfx

Dimensions may be slightly off, since some 3 rows have 4 civs and 1 has 5, if this layout is correct (since there are/were 17 civs)

Quote:Hi - well we avenged someone anyways - our warrior beat the hurt lion flawlessly!

We recently met Krill, who has a warrior around our lands, and passed your location on to ruff, who said he has a warrior in the area. If you bring your scout back this way, we will try to arrange a summit.

Quote:I checked F4 and it does not appear that they have met (at least I clicked on both their names and there were no lines between them, so I think that's right, right?)

So while I agree that Krill seems like the type to mess with players minds, at least this time he appears not to be :-)

Few things:
* Borders expanded
* Southern warrior got on the hill, found nothing terriblyintresting
* Northern warrior is in a forest, across a river from a lion. If we lose this, then the RNG must REALLY hate us
* Hunting in 3
* Warrior started the chop

My worker plan is to send them next (after finishing the chop) to the 2 forested hills in the BFC of the new city (one on each). That way we don't waste a turn since it costs a turn to move to a forested hill anyways.

Probably finish the grassland farm at the capital befoer hand - that would allow us to let the capital work that and the new city work the rice, if we want
