This is why I don't do well at high level civ; I don't have the inclination/desire for tight long term plans, which is necessary to be somewhat good.

Well, there's a flip side of the hardcore-planning style of play too, which is that you can get too-attached to your plans and your stuff. That can lead to disaster when the unexpected happens, or great opportunities can pass you by, or you can get too complacent with neighbors, or you can get too paranoid and over-compensate with other neighbors, or other players can read you like a book and predict your every move. This can be a big weakness of mine, sometimes. For example, I've built all this beautiful stuff and have all these nice Fin tiles, but now I need to whip them all away to build a rifleman army ASAP. I was sittin in the game for a long time last night, my mind coming up with excuse after excuse why *this* city, this city here gets to be spared the slaughter. You'd think I was a mother hen protecting her eggs or something.

*smokes a shitload of weed* "Like, wow, man, it's totally, uh........" *takes a break to eat a dozen individually-wrapped chocolate chip granola bars in one sitting* ".......its just like, just like, its totally just like society, man!"

T151.
mmm.
Only MS (National Epic), MW (Capital), Buddy Guy (very new filler city), and Little Walter were spared the rod; HW had a micro slipup, causing me to need to wait a turn to whip, and BMT is close enough to one of the loading zones such that it can wait a turn to whip. Up to 223 total pop whipped now, more than I have in total!
Next time: where we do the same, but with Frigates! In 4 turns!

Arrgh, did you know that if you have two units in-queue able to queue-upgrade at a tech with hammers in them, then the one with more hammers gets thrown away? And *after* the hammers for the turn are applied too, it seems. Both Chinook and Furry Lewis had longbows in queue that replaced their 120/80 and 110/80 rifles, so I had to whip them again this turn. Two rifles dead before they even enter combat, this stinks! I even tested if this would happen in the worldbuilder, but I think I used crossbows instead of longbows in the test, which don't obsolete until Military Science.

well, i was about to post a big report on my cool war with tsargon, but it looks like I must withdraw for it is bloodfeud time with haram instead. i honestly did not expect this, i think he throws away both our chances of winning this game now. i've been wondering for like a dozen turns why the fuck he doesnt attack either wetbandit or dreylin, he's got an army able to crush them and a peace treaty with me. instead he dives at the only guy with parity military tech as him and the only guy with as much military as him. what the fuck. he picked a really really really really bad day to do this too, my wife had a severe migraine tonight (she gets them about once a week, but only really really bad ones like this every 5 or 6 weeks) and i been getting screamed at by her and the baby all day, her in tears and suffering, and now i have a headache too, after they finally get to bed. well, i'm at 232 pop whipped right now; i think i hit 300 within 3 turns. man, all those cities of his i could have razed but did not, because i felt there was no reason to be petty, and he just takes a cheap shot on my favorite little city?!? fuck you, haram!

lmfao, I post about personal IRL tragedy in a vulnerable moment and this when you two worms come in to try jabs at me? very typical of your personalities. "still ignoring me" but still reading my post somehow, hoping for a chance to laugh at me - how unbelievably cowardly and pathetic. and commodore, you fucking slimeball, your shitty 1999-fark.com-era image macro does not even make any sense. you consider yourself a writer but can't even flame me with your own words? hundreds of thousands of meme images to choose from, yet you're so incompetent in your animosity that you're unable to even pick one that fits? how is this karma? this is clearly the result of my pushing Haram just a little too far, such that he chose a path of revenge over trying to win the game, a clear misplay by me and a misread of his personality. I had considered his position so dominating because of the MoM that he was still easily the strongest civ in the game despite my harassment, but now we will be at each other's throats for so long that TBS will easily win, first taking all of Tsargon's land (I have civ vision on him now, and he's stacked up about 50 units worth of medieval trash on Tsargon's eastern land border), even if Haram does eventually conquer me (again) because of his MoM wonder and his Pro workshops. I will be the #1 power, and it will take even his civ significant time to overcome that. I had also thought I made a meta-read that he wouldn't want long war turns because he was still having IRL time issues (just chatted with him the other day), but circumstances must have changed for him.
anyways, both of you can go fuck yourselves.

Hey, karma is you getting attacked randomly in game after attacking randomly in game. Nothing against your poor wife at all. Migraines suck, and having your spouse use your pain as a reason to bitch and moan about life on a computer gaming forum sucks too.
