[Spoilers] Dreylin tries to take over the World ... casually?

Hahah, yeah finding Duneyrr suits our team. Sheela na gig on the other hand... that's just so creepy creature!

Looks like a city 1W of sheep would be good, tiles west of pig look desert though. That city could even Share the Whales from capital in addition to the Sheep. In the north a city 1S of Sugar looks tasty longer term (lots of cottage rivertiles + the resources), but not a spot for 2nd city obviously, maybe 3rd/4th. I am curious to see what that Manatee is though.

Once we scout west better I guess we find what there's closer to Pigs. If you want me to SIM anything just let me know. smile

Well, Joey has a sense of humour about the Sea Cow:

Not that it's very useful...

So do we want to spend the extra turn running W-W to defog the whole coast, or just go straight SW-SW?

City 2 next to the Pigs looks good; we could plant 1SE of the Pigs instead of 1NE and still pick up the key resources. Also not sure about 1N of Sugar now we know abut the potential to turn this whole into Lighthouse Lake....

Still +1f...

Decided that accelerating the Scouting near home was more important than getting the view on the few extra tiles, so moved straight SW:

That Jungle Peak made me wonder if it could be another player's start location so I tried this:

My first guess was German borders (Yuri), but it could be Byzantium (IchaBob) or maybe even England (Mr. Cairo) at a pinch.

I do hope that the land duplication is more PB28 than PB29 - judging from what I've seen so far I don't think it's completely duplicated, but there's probably a fair degree of similarity.

Well here's an idea:

Not sure about the spot 1SE of the Sugar, maybe 1S of the Sugar instead but I don't like to lose the riverside grass. Or move it 1E and we can still plant the 1E of Crabs spot. Reasoning to move away from that is that it won't get many tiles of its own in the end after losing the lake tiles to the cities that can lighthouse them, while the other side will be taken by the Commerce city.

Dotmap looks good to me. Like I said before I like the city 1S of Sugar but 1SE seems good too. I agree that city 1E of Crabs no longer is that important. It could potentially be a filler city for growing cottages for that other city near Cows (which would be moved 1E of course). Any particular reason why Hunting before AH? Probably doesn't make much of difference.

Interesting note: Ships can travel from capital to west (and to our western neigbour) if we put fort on Sheep. This might or might not be important.

Hunting is a pre-req for AH so research this order is cheaper, also the Sheep is the better tile, so being able to get it going first is slightly better than the Deer.

If we're going to 1SW of Pigs as next city, we need to look at Worker micro to try to get it in position to improve the Pigs that same turn. Perhaps after the Sheep it builds a couple of Roads (we need at least 1 for the trade link, I think, then heads to Pogs and we go straight for a second Worker to improve the Deer?

Oops, I had FFH tech path in my mind....

Anyway, you still can't improve Sheep with Hunting can you? That requires AH?

RtR switched the two improvements around from base CIV, so now Hunting gives Pastures and AH Camps. Horses are still at AH though.
