Said I would jump out in the TT but what do you guys make of this? Couldn't work out how he had got there for ages until I remembered that Serdoa had a scouting worker floating around that area and I checked the logs. He isn't named anything and I don't think this is trying to signal anything but it is a little odd perhaps. Do I need to do anything? I'm pretty sure unit gifting was not allowed... Quoted you Brick as you are admin in a very, very drama free game considering the amount of players! (February 24th, 2016, 16:38)ReallyEvilMuffin Wrote: Do I need to do anything? I'm pretty sure unit gifting was not allowed... Yep, listed explicitly in the rules on page 1 of the tech thread. Personally, I would send Serdoa a PM reminding him, and either gift it back or delete it. But you're not the rulebreaker, so I wouldn't feel guilty about it. Edit: And, also, although it's against the letter of the rule, it's not really against the spirit since it's small. So I would aim to get back to the ungifted state of affairs but not otherwise really care.

Must be blind. I thought it was but couldn't spot it anywhere, just reams about it is impossible to trade cities. I'll PM him.
If he did gift it, try to give it back. If he doesn't accept it back, or doesn't answer or says it isn't his and you want a clean conscience, just delete it.

Edit - event log states that is his (top left picture)
Yeah I'd just send him a PM reminding him of the no gifting rule and return the worker if you can. Just saw others had replied before I did.

Well I got a reply from serdoa that he forgot and to just delete it so I have my answer. I guess he isn't in much need of workers given his compact empire. This is a little sad as I am shortish on workers - commodore deleted most of his and I never built too many more to cover this region... I'm at 39 workers for 39 cities, although most of the heavy worker lifting has been done.
![]() The other thing I noticed in game is I can 1 turn education at 100% tech. I am a whisker away from finishing it at 80%. This means that lib is doable in 3 turns easily from here. Is it doable in 2? To do it in 2, I need to then 1t lib next turn. I need 3220 beakers with no KTB etc due to 1 prior tech on it. I'm currently churning out about 1500-1600 beakers at full output. I will have about 300 overflow if I go full tech. I will need to find an extra 1000 or so over 2 turns to make it! If I set everything to a research build I might just be able to... I think I can go 2 turns of full tech with 732 gold. It isn't the best way of dealing with this but is an idea. The other plan would be to starve slomensk and I am sure I could get the GP out this turn, albeit at reduced odds of the scientist and that would definitely give me a 1 turn lib also being about 2k beakers for a scientist. I am diluted with spy points and cannot find anywhere a spy bulb list anywhere. Will tell me in game though and would be easyish to set up as a test. It would only bring in about 1250 beakers but would be enough to bring me over the line next turn. |
