I spent a bit of time in-game last turn trying to re-dotmap the West here to make better use of food-sharing with the Capital. The problem is that the Western dotmap directly interacts with the Southern dotmap and ... well you remember that the Rice can be irrigated like this:
Well that blue line runs straight through the Horses. Unless we Farm over them, there's no way to get irrigation down there. So I don't want to move the Southern 3, which means the only way to share the Sheep is to bring that city off the coast - except then it loses the Lighthouse lake bonus.
I think this is the best option as-is, but I might clean the signs off and take another shot this evening to pour over and see whether there's a good alternative.
Hmmm, maybe shifting the city 2N of Sugar to the West next to the Rice, Moai moves SSW onto the grass hill, and then the sharing / filler city goes 1W of Sheep (now available by moving the city off the Copper). Could also fit a filler on the point next to Nereid if not too problematic to the neighbour across the way.

Settling party in place:
I would have put the Worker 1W of the Warrior's spot to allow it to start the Cow Pasture as the city is settled, but unfortunately the western Lion advanced. I could have put the Warrior on top, but didn't think it was worth the (admittedly low) risk. Now I'll finish the road connection (at the cost of a single Worker turn) before moving to the Cows and Pasturing. Pasture comes in 2t later, but I will get the trade route many turns earlier than otherwise (not sure I would have got back to put the road down before Sailing).
Weed is 1turning a War Chariot with the whip overflow, then will regrow starting on the Granary, switch to Worker and chop the Granary to completion. Ganja is trickling hammers into a Warrior while growing.

Yeah, not going to be getting more than 1 on /that/ table! Should score better on the next count, though.

One Lion attacked, but the other retreated:
Founded Grass:
You can see that our friend the Barb Warrior appeared again, but I'm sending the first War Chariot off to explore the near East right now. The Barb would move away again during the interturn.
Scout is exploring a bit farther East:
Since I connected the new city with Roads, I'll grab Archery first before Sailing.

You totally could have sacrificed resources to capture a monster there. You don't get points for capturing cows and copper; you get it for capturing monsters!

Ah, but I'm setting myself up for the t75 count; should have Troll & Duneyrr and maybe 1 or 2 more in the South. I think that's worth losing the t50 race for.

Dotmap revisited:
Yellow are the set / mostly confirmed locations from the original dotmap.
Orange are the mostly confirmed or adjusted locations.
Red is the original dotmap for the NW.
Purple the proposed alternative dotmap for NW. The near-West city allows earlier access to the Pigs and maybe the Crabs, which could speed adjacent cities, but long-term it would hand most of its tiles away. Purple Moai is better than Red Moai unless there's seafood just off the point - but we also know that there's someone else's capital over there so maybe we can't rely on securing that hypothetical seafood anyway.
Finally, down in the SW we have the Marble City. Moving the city onto the Marble itself sacrifices a 1/3/2 tile but gains an open grassland. On the Marble could be a decent Commerce city working both Gems, 4 grassland cottages (that can't be irrigated anyway) and some Coast.
There is also a discussion to be had about moving Troll 1E onto the coast, but that will need another screenshot.
Finally I'll note here that there are 7 forests at Weed; seems like I should try to maintain most of them and turn them into something wonder-ous later....

Scouting:
I did a bunch of zooming and flying camera viewing and there's definitely a Peak on the indicated tile which I think is the only connection between these areas ... which means this nearby pod is mine all mine! :Muahahahahaha:

This map gets more and more interesting:
Compared with how close together Mardrien & I are, I'm still surprised not to have found sign of anyone down this way. WC will go SW-SE next turn, then return to Troll; not decided yet whether to have the Scout defog the rest of this area, or head SE to try to find out where the next civ is located.

Aha!
I will defog and then head East. WC will take a final move onto the South coast to scout for Seafood.
