[spoilers] DTG thinks filthy casuals are ruining Realms Beyond

I'd like to use both units for exploration. I agree with your thoughts about exploring to the NW; I definitely want to know where we can found cities before IW. Proposal: next Scout move to the SE? If it turns out that the dyes are on an isthmus instead of a landmass that goes further east, that lessens the military presence we need to make a corn/dyes settle safe.

Those culture calculations are really depressing. Curse the Hindus! More reason that murder is a solution to all our problems, I guess; speaking of murder, the timing you propose for murdering our own citizens seems reasonable.

As for city name, I've always been fond of the rhetorical devices of metonymy and synecdoche; pick whichever one you like best and let Ruff name the other smile

Okay, Scout SE sounds fine. There's a clear tile 2E of the mountain, so we'll probably want to move there afterwards.

It does looks like an area where a barb city will spawn. I think that would be a good thing, although it would take a long time to grow to size 2 and stop the auto-raze.

Push on with exploring ... what is the worst that can happen?

City names ... I like both of those options ... so lets use both ... but spread over two cities smile.

Others that come to mind ... onomatopoeia or Oxymoron. I think we have to save the latter one for a particularly fool-hardy plant that is actually really strong.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

The Impi returned, coupled with a barbarian friend:

I switched Aischrologia back to its planned Work Boat, because falling further behind will be no fun and it's not like we have a strong position to throw away anyway, if things do go pear-shaped.

Eurgh. Well, I'm very glad we have two Axemen and all those archers. I agree with getting the workboat out; that city is safe against casual harass, and I don't think it's worth trying to buy insurance against "the guy with two civs worth of land decides to invest in a dedicated murder force for a non-immediate-neighbor instead of more settlers."

Logged in to look around, and once again I am really impressed with the micro timing you put together. Chopping the target locations so the forests don't go totally wasted right on time, with the northwestern worker ready to finish the road hookup the turn the settler comes out so it's ready to settle on the immediate following? Great stuff. Also, that southern city we're about to found seems like a great spot to put Moai when we have Sailing and some time to invest in it.

I founded Metonymy as planned, no doubt disappointing Ruff with the location wink

gsorel fortified the Impi in place, so I moved the Axe onto the Corn. For that matter, we're also working the Clams in the city to emphasize commerce for a bit:

^^^ I think the second WB can come from Syllepsis, because we won't be able to improve the second Clams for 9 turns and growing on an Axe lets us whip in an emergency.

Finally, Onomatopoeia is ready to settle:

Animal Husbandry is due in ~6 turns. I'm beginning to shift more towards IW than HBR as the next tech, but it's by no means definite.

RAGE QUIT
nahhh ... only joking. It will take more than a wrong city location to get rid of me.
