RPB3 SPOILERS Bismarck of India (regoarrarr, darrelljs, sooooo, sunrise089)

I presume you mean draft to Incans. Even civ names are confusing!

Are you comfortable in revealing part of the Aztecs' tech path at this stage without checking with them?

Hope so because we sent it lol

And they should know that the Aztecs have archery because they already have archers

Well if the surprise is no longer a surprise, I guess it isn't a surprise for them...

Jig is up on Exploit - we need to find his copper ASAP

Quote:Hi DJ Civ,

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner but Tech explorers met new civs recently and I was busy peddling my wares to them. I would like to hold off signing OBs until our NAP negotiations are complete. Can you please provide details on what sort of NAP terms would be acceptable to DJ Civ and your allies? In particular I would be looking for Cath Bruig to accept the same NAP terms.

There will be a 4 turn delay in my research of Alphabet as I veered off my chosen tech path to research Hunting when I was surprised by your stone settlement. Vultures are excellent defenders however they are susceptible to chariots therefore my military advisors convinced me of the need to research the ability to produce spearmen just in case our NAP negotiations failed.

It is certainly still the Tech Peddler business plan to trade techs with everyone however recent surprises and delays during our diplomatic negotiations have required Tech to prioritize military defenses over tech research for the time being. If you would like your alliance to get an early jump on Alphabet and all the benefits that would entail then a NAP until Turn 90 between Tech and both DJ Civ and Cath Bruig would be a minimum requirement.

Regards,
Exploit

Okay, so we can see all but two tiles of Bison Pass, no Copper. There is no way he has Copper in his BFC. Do we think he has Copper in the third ring of his capital? That doesn't seem like something Sulla would do but who knows.

I suspect Rome is tipping him off, but there really isn't any way to be sure.

Draft?

Quote:Turn 90 is a lot more reasonable for a NAP than turn 200, so that's something we could consider. However let's make it a part of an overall agreement, including tech trades and open borders. Might as well also include land division so we can avoid another "incident".

My problem with this is that if Rome is working with him, it is a waste of time and it makes Rome less likely to trust us going forward. So my other draft is:

Quote:We are sorry you feel that way. We won't be settling any cities in your area anytime soon, hopefully this will give you time to cool off and we can still reach some kind of understanding. Our offer for OB and a Mysticism/Masonry for Writing trade remain on the table.

I also want to send something to Rome basically calling them out - I'll work on something

Quote:Hey,

Our copper is on a river. It's on the second ring in one of our cities which just had a border pop to get it. Earliest a mine could finish is t61, and a lone axe could enter Exploit territory on t70 at it's southernmost point. Other axes would trickle in from t74. So a proper assault couldn't really be possible until t74 which would consist of 3 axes. He has peaks covering his diagonal on his western side, what can you see on his east?. A single axe entering his territory on t70 could attack his capital proper on t73 if he doesn't have copper or is unable to trade for archery on t72 that could be worth it. What do you think?

Actually, I've just realized, while we don't actually share a river, after we give you sailing you will actually be able to trade horses to Krill who could then trade them to us. I'm pretty sure he has defogged the river you guys share all the way to your capital. That river connects his second city which is connected by road to his capital, which is connected to our capital by a different river. I don't know enough about trade network mechanics to know if open borders between our 3 civs would allow you to trade horses to us directly. A lone chariot could get to the same spot as that axe on t68 if you are able to trade us horses on t63. Or t67 if we whip at swapping penalty/overflow from another whip. But as you don't get wheel until t63 I imagine earliest you could trade us horses after you whip chariots is t65?

Quote:Could you trade us (via Krill) your copper? I"ll have to confirm things with our MM experts but that might be worth doing.
