So believe us, we understand the difficulties of diplomacy in a game with this many players, not to mention when you have multiple team members who might not live in the same time zone and might be checking the forums at different times and want to give input on drafts.

But we're in a crucial part of things, and some on our team (and on other teams) are worried about your lack of response. Probably not helping things is the fact that Exploit all of a sudden lets us know that he wants to research Hunting for Spearmen!

I know that you've talked about not trusting Portugal, but if that's an issue, then we can take care of that later. If you're going to be part of an early tech trading alliance - which one do you want to be part of - the one that gets Alphabet and trades techs on T63, or the one that gets Alphabet and trades techs on T72 err T76 now?

Happy Hour will get a Warrior next turn. The Pasture is finally done. Do we want this Worker to go to Ladies night or to stay at Happy Hour? The two Forests at Happy Hour are to chop out a Chariot instead of a Worker now IMO, so I think we want to pre-chop them. By the time a tile at Lady's Night is improved, it will be whipped away.

I had a long chat with Krill. He's really quite worried about his situation it turns out. He's got just two cities and he's 15 turns from a third, and thinks the only thing that is keeping him from getting rushed from the south is War Chariots. With the large seperation between us, we couldn't really come to his aid. So, long story short he is not loaning out his Horse. I think we want Portugal to keep their Copper and build their Axes as fast as they can. On t62 if we find they don't have Copper, we go in with the Chariots hard. Otherwise we have to wait for them to show up with Axes.

According to rego's spreadsheet, Rome does NOT have Hunting, meaning they can't give Exploit a Spear. At least some good news.

This is a heads up to tell you that after Carthage, England have officially confirmed as well their wish to be included in the Tech Cartel.

As they are close to members from the other tech alliance, I have told them to keep stalling this alliance's overtures, at least until Egypt lands the Oracle on T62.

Horseback Riding tech has been started, current ETA T73, but will probably be finished a couple of turns sooner.

If someone could forward this information to our "outer member" (i.e. Portugal), we'd be much obliged.

Draft to Portugal:

First off, some very good news on the alliance front: Carthage and England are in! We feel one more is necessary to solidify our lead, so hopefully Rome comes around. Now, on the coming conflict with Sumeria, it turns out Krill will not be able to supply us with his Horse. Given Exploit is teching Hunting, we think its best if you guys build an Axe or two. When Sailing comes in if we confirm that Exploit lacks Copper, we'll move hard in with Chariots, otherwise we'll have to choke with your Axes. If this is an acceptable strategy to you, we can start to work out the details.

Do you have, or do you know anyone who has, a map of his land?
