I really dislike that torus script... I'm throwing up maps that rather isolate one person, or someone gets an acre of tundra, and the starts seem really off too. I've got something but I'm not too happy with it... Gah.

Well from my perspective, if the map script isn't doing what you want it to, get a different script.

I've got something that eyeballs good, and runs good from the novice maptool. Torrotoidal map 36x36 standard sized for map sims. Moderately edited, not really from a lushness PoV, just cutting bridges etc/sinking land so roughly everyone has a decent amount of land to compete for. Starts homogenised somewhat. I'll need some time to get combos, I can seek for others approval should you guys wish, but strat resources and happy are still to have a look at, as they also seem a little out currently.

while we're on the subject, will the new game be PBEM75 A/B or PBEM74 C/D?

I'd thought they'd be 74C/D, since we'll have the same players and settings (more or less) in a different configuration. I can see the argument for 75A/B though, since the games will be on a different map. I prefer 74C/D myself.

I'm happy with how this is all going. I think we should stick with PBEM74 to avoid confusion later. C and D seems to work well.

I would put in that I strongly favour no barbarians. It's just annoying randomness in my opinion.
