Email from Inca to ruff, copying us - nice work Diplomat Darrell
Quote:Hello Ruff,
Well with DJ Civ's proposal certainly being an interesting one, I believe we're almost all in favour. We are simply waiting on Jowy's thoughts before making a final decision as this is a decision that will shape the future of the Inca for a while to come.
However given that we are at war, I moved our units as such. For T58, we'll agree to not pillage your tiles if you agree to not pillage our cottage. We expect to have a full decision made tomorrow and we will proceed further at that point.
I hope that's acceptable.

Nice! I think we should surely send a note off to the Incans, just not sure what to say. Obviously Ruff will need a final decision before he plays his turn. I chatted with him briefly and he's still nervous Jowy will monkey wrench things, but I don't think that is likely. We also need to explain the alliance and figure out what tech they can contribute. Need to kick that off right away because honestly at this point I don't see where they go. Ditto for Carthage and England.
Regarding Rome, I dug your draft prior to Inca coming on board. I was going to suggest we don't talk about alliances changing so easily as I get the feeling Rome is role playing a bit, and trying to do the honroable thing. Anyway, that might be moot because now I am back to liking my draft. Short, sweet, ambiguous. I don't really want them on boad now, and definitely not if it means bringing Exploit too. Rome has really bad logistical issues, and that get worse if we take out Exploit. They said it best; they've made their bed and they'll have to lie in it. Things can change but right now I'd rather keep them at arm's distance. What do you think...make sense given the recent developments?

Its funny...the Incans got something pretty good out of this war because I'm not sure we would have invited them otherwise.
Its also a good chance to make nice with the old Ottoman team and show no hard feelings from RPB2. It would have been a different kind of fun to lock horns, but in the end I see the community aspects of RB as the big attraction, and I prefer to have these guys as friends.

JANK: hence my question
nobody
but there's e-mails flying all over the place now
because of this alliance
Bingo!
I know we're all on the same page, but this is why we want a big alliance. Exploit can play the Hong Kong card all he wants, but as soon as everything is in the open with Krill's alliance the others will start trying to band together too.

A belated Question: Have you sent a Screenshot of KT to the romans? This would have clearly shown hot close it is to your capital and how unreasonable Exploit with his demand.
Can you list who all are now in the alliance? I have currently:
India, HRE, Port, Egypt, Aztec, Cartage, England, Inca so I'm missing 1 or 2

Nope we never did this. At this point I don't think we will since the ship has sailed but at the time it sure would have helped clarify our position. Alliance members:
India
Egypt
HRE
Portugal
Ottomans
Carthage
England
Aztecs
Inca
France
If both yellow teams accept our offer, we have 10. I went ahead and played the turn but did not end. Whipped the Worker at Lady's Night, overflow into a second Worker. Portugal settled pretty close to us:
I'm pretty sure that's their site anyway, and there is at least a gap between cities. Demo for this turn:

I agree now would be too late and thanks for the list so the Ottomans and France are those I missed.

Brief chat with Krill...Carthage is on Mathematics, England is on Monarchy and the Ottomans are now on Iron Working. He suggested the Incans save gold up for a Compass push. Not sure on this map that matters but saving gold gives flexibility.

Compass itself might be useless but it is necessary for Optics which in turn you need for Astro(and that for Physics) and Medicine so it is a tech you can't avoid.
