We hear you can make some pretty mean liquor with milk if you know the trick, but we lack the Cows needed to get the Milk. We'd be happy to trade you some Pigs for it, but we'd have to get connected. Whereabouts are you guys...do you think we might be connected by one of the millions of rivers flowing through this strange world we live in?

If you need directions to any of our neighbors we'd be happy to provide them for you, we've met eight civs total so far. If you head to the east you'll find the Aztecs, then Incans, then Romans, then Sumerians. Those crazy Incans and Aztecs are fighting a war right now, so you might want to avoid mentioning the one to the other!

We have recently met the Incans and are actually trying to encourage them to strengthen the fury of their attack. Honestly though, they do not seem to need much encouragement (if any at all) since they somehow appears to believe that the Aztecs are the cause of everything that's wrong in this world. How such a perception was brought to life is beyond our reasonable understanding, but we believe the conflict to be of benefit to SsS, so I cannot say that we dislike what is taking place without telling a lie.

So far we have been unsuccessful in locatig the position of our western and southern neighbours. We know that Inca is to our west, but not where exactly. We also think, based on conversation with Portugal, that France is to our south - but our explorer in that area have yet to bring back any such confirmation. Our north, in turn, seems to be nothing but inhabitable wasteland. With this information in mind it is hard to tell whether a sealed eastern border is a good or bad thing for us. A strong India, conquering the territory of Sumeria, is probably not a good thing for SsS. Or can you convince us otherwise?

Our understanding with Exploit is that he will trade us Alphabet in return for Iron Working, but we will probably have to even that trade out a bit. I can also tell you that we have a rough settling agreement in place, on his initiative, and that he have approached us about signing open borders and a mutual defense pact. The open borders are in place but the mutual defense pact is not, and neither was it ever given much consideration on our part.

As for Salthi himself, he's happy to drop down if you guys have the ability to sign open borders, though we do not. I'm sure he can hear from his perch on that lovely hill the jammin rock anthems we're playing, or the saucy T-shirt contest! But without open borders, you're right we would consider it quite the faux-"paw" for him to come by. After all, who knows what kind of diplomatic incident he might instigate if he has his "beer goggles" on :-D
