Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

RPB3 SPOILERS Bismarck of India (regoarrarr, darrelljs, sooooo, sunrise089)

So basically Byz and Maya think hindering our development is in their best interests. Here is why it isn't:

1. They can't use any of our land due to crippling expense.

2. It isn't slowing CAN down tech wise. It isn't slowing us down tech wise.

3. It is slowing them down tech wise. It is also slowing them down expansion wise.

4. While it is slowing India down expansion wise, what benefit is that to them?

I don't know how to get them to see this. Maybe we can try an IM chat, but they seem pretty fixated on us at this point. The only way to change their mind is with some killin'.

I think they are in a 'damned if they do damned if they don't'-situation.

They don't want to be the last in an 10-civ alliance fearing a 'last in first out' system.
Joining a 6/7-civ alliance vs a 10-er is a losing thing per se so their only chance is if they manage to take out 1 or 2 from the 10 as long as the techs/units are weak enough to allow it.
Their main mistake is that they only have 2 single chariots in the area.

I think they have misunderstood the alliance. They seem to think we are Borg, but really its just a bunch of civs deciding to trade techs. I don't think France is any less a member because they were last. That said, I recognize that the "founding" members have had more time to socialize and build for the future.

Right, but no reason to assume that another "inner group" won't form too.

I'll finish making our turnplayer moves in an hour or so. I've hooked horses and started chariots in the capital and Happy Hour, and both will be whipped next turn. I plan to chop a forest at Karaoke and probably get an archer in 1, unless we can get a chariot in 1.

Have to catch a plane, but here's a quick rundown:

*Chopped a forest in Karaoke, archer in 1. The city has 2 warriors now and will have the archer before the Byz chariot can attack. I don't really want to put a third warrior in the city because I'd like to encourage Maya to try their luck and hope for a lot of unit damage.

*3 wars in between the cap and Karaoke. In 2t we will have a road network up between those cites so the warriors can cover both.

*Finally some good news - the Roman warrior moved away.

I feel a lot more comfortable with that Archer, that's for sure.

What's the ETA for razing Bison Pass smile?

Or keeping it?
I have to run.

That is an excellent question...I think it depends on what resources there are in the fog. We lose three grassland hill tiles with the current location, but grabbing those tiles loses Rice if memory serves.

Brief chat with Portugal

Quote: Willem: hey, to answer your question
about the copper, we just got trade network capability with krill this turn
and he can get capability with you on t66

And also, as you may have seen elsewhere - I will be out of town tomorrow and Saturday and likely unavailable.

It's unfortunate but C&D numbers may prove impossible to continue to gather at this point frown
