Note from Krill:
Quote:Hi guys,
just a heads up, but you need to move Guinness straight NE for at least another 3 turns, possible 4, to meet England. If you don't do this, then I can't gift them Masonry (You need to do it) to gift them Monotheism to speed up Monarchy. They haven't yet started, and really need it; I don;t think anyone will be happy with Monarchy is delayed...

Message sent to Mayans, just so they know we are not ignoring them:
Quote:Please don't take our lack of a reply as an indication we aren't interested. As a team the weekends aren't great and its exacerbated by the fact that regoarrarr is on vacation and with limited Internet access. I've got a draft up on our forum now, just need to get feedback from everyone and then we'll send it to you.

Carthage is in our bloc and Krill confirms we owe them Masonry, so I accepted a Masonry and OB trade with them.
Moved warrior NE as Krill instructed.
Chars moved as darrell and I discussed, still on schedule.
@Darrell - Capital and Karaoke can be whipped this turn, but it's optional. I see value in more chariots now and also in saving the pop for metal units or towards a settler. We can discuss more, but if you want to whip and I'm not back at a PC before the turn ends feel free.

Mail from Carthage:
Quote:Greetings regoarrarr, darrelljs, sooooo, sunrise089 of India!
It is with great pleasure that we meet you, and hopefully in prosperous times for your nation. The rest of the CAN has kept us fairly up to date regarding your war, but now that we have finally met, we look forward to getting first hand battlefield accounts and generally getting to know you better.
Regarding our location, St. Paul (the city your warrior has visibility on) is our westernmost city, on the Egyptian border. We have met the Mali to our south, and England to our east, as well as the A4 and DIM from the CAN.
As a gesture of goodwill, our team has offered open borders to yours, and we have also requested the Masonry tech from your team. We expect to have Maths completed on T70, and look forward to sharing it with you at that time. Truthfully, we were a little concerned we wouldn't meet you by then, and as a result you would have an inefficient forest chop as a result. Thank goodness that won't happen!
For what it's worth, we were both Byzantium fans in RBP2, and were happy to see that we were aligned with you in #3. Hopefully sometime down the road we can help you get the vengeance you deserve.
Until later,
Mr. Nice Guy for Team Nice Shot
Draft reply:
Quote:Salutations! We've been anxious to find you! We were quite pleased when we learned you had joined CAN, we see your civ as one of the stronger partners in the game. We have given you Masonry and open borders in game . Thank you for the ETA on Mathematics, we will time our chops accordingly.
We will certainly be providing you with war updates. We are currently at war with just 1 civ but have reason to believe it will be 3 or even 4 any second . That's over half of CANT, for some reason we seem to be bearing the brunt of anti-CAN sentiment but rest assured we are up to it! We apologize but for the near future we will be providing more military than tech to CAN. As soon as we can, we will of course switch back to tech mode!
One other thing of note. We are coordinating a giant map stitch of CAN civs. If you want, you can take screenshots of your map and send it to me for inclusion. Its totally optional but you'll be getting tons of map info in return for sharing your own. Key settings are alt-f, alt-i, ctrl-b. Then zoom to the layer just before clouds appear.

Okay, so any thoughts on the many drafts I have posted? The Mayan and Byzantine ones in particular we probably want to get out today or early tomorrow.

Okay, I ended our turn last. Still no units in sight, my guess is they are in Exploits capital healing, and ready for gifting in case of an emergency.
Krill can't proxy the Copper to us . Going to have to get a connection with Ruff now, but that takes Worker turns we don't have.
I did not whip either city. Should we ask if Krill can spare his Gold? We've got no unhappy due to whip anger but we will.
A Jungle grew south of our Silver .
